Here it is! Mike Posner's new single for the long-awaited sophomore solo album and it finds the Detroit, Michigan singer/songwriter feeling nostalgic about the lady friend he still loves. This song is an instant anthem for anyone yearning to be back with a significant other, or anyone who can simply transplant themselves to that amazing feeling when times were great with that loved one! I think Posner does a great job telling the story in a non-corny way, while still doing so in a catchy way. The chorus is stuck in my head after one listen, in fact. Needless to say, I'm a fan of this one — as "The Way It Used To Be" is certainly a potential pop smash with very easy relatability and that reflective, yet upbeat feel to it. Follow along to the lyric video above, taking Mike Posner's notebook themed visuals to a new level.
