Wired, the technology magazine, has a really fascinating interview up with Just Blaze in which he talks about his beginnings as a ringtone programmer, before ringtones really even existed.
Turns out, Just is quite a technology whiz, and has been pretty much his whole life. He attended Rutgers for three years to study computer science before it became "boring" for him. At the same time, he got an internship at local music studio The Cutting Room in NYC, and that's where he began honing his craft and making his foray into the music industry. Sounds like he could've been just as successful without music, though.
