Whelp looks like what I reported last week about Trey Songz has now come. Congrats to Trey on scoring his first number one album. Chapter V has debuted on Billboard 200 at number 1 with 134k sold. However it is a decline for the singer, because his previous effort Passion, Pain & Pleasure sold 240k when it debuted at number 2 back in 2010.
DJ Khaled also dropped an album last week if you can remember. His new album Kiss The Ring sold 40k this week landing a spot at the number 4 spot. My favorite rapper at the moment 2 Chainz also held on strong this week. 2 Chainz sold another 47k this week putting him at the number 2 spot and also bring his Based On a T.R.U. Story to a grand total of 195k.
Whelp looks like Trey Songz has more then 2 Reasons to celebrate, because he is projected to score his first #1 album with Chapter V.
HDD states: Trey Songz’ fifth Atlantic album, Chapter V, will easily take the #1 spot on next week's chart as the only title that will hit six figures, with a first-week total that should reach 125-130k. His last album, 2010’s Passion, Pain & Pleasure, debuted with 240k in sales on the way to a total of 842k to date.
Well congrats to Trey on his first #1 album! I just hope he knows for the past three albums he’s been dropping the same album just different packaging. Anyways congrats and hopefully he can get his first platinum album. To date his highest selling album is Passion, Pain & Pleasure.
