Today Justin Timberlake released his new single, “Take Back The Night” to fans who pre-ordered the second installment of The 20/20 Experience, which will arrive in stores September 30th. Just like the first installment of The 20/20 Experience you can expect heavy production from soon to be producer of the year Timbaland.
Today fans can preview the album right now. Both installments of The 20/20 Experience will be bundled into the “JT Complete Package,” which will be available as well on September 30th. Part of The 20/20 Experience will include 11 tracks and will also have a special surprise from Justin.
I wonder what the surprise is? Maybe extra songs that we wont know about till the release. I can’t wait till September 30th, because the first installment of The 20/20 Experience received an abundance amount of play on my iPod. Check the cover of the complete package below.
One more preview of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines finds him crooning for a lady to take it easy on him over a hot Timbaland production. Sounds very JT-esque as the similarities between both artists continue to be more evident. Not bad, but what do you all think?
As we all anxiously await for Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" album to drop, REVOLT got an exclusive video with Timbaland as he talk about the creation of this album. In this video, Timbaland talks of many deep issues that occured before and during the process of creating such a notorious album. Along with some issues that we all may know of, Timbo explains those issues in great detail and exposes more secrets that we may have not known. As Timbo speaks with a high passion about this album, he gives us his own visual of how "Magna Carta Holy Grail" stands alone in its own category and how other albums can't compare to what Jay is about to release.
Also, since the recent release of Kanye's "Yeezus" and J.Cole's "Born Sinner" everyone has been in an uproar saying who's album was the best and if Ye' or Cole did a good job with their album. Well, Timbaland steps in by giving his additional two cent on how he feels about each artist and their album. Seems to me like things are about to get real! Will Jay-Z's album blow Ye' and Cole's out of the park? What do you all think?
TIBS ADD: Jay-Z also revealed one last song lyric — this one for "F**kwithmeyouknowigotit" f/ Rick Ross. Check that out below and get ready to hear Magna Carta Holy Grail in an hour and change!
Wow, look at those names again. And isn't your first thought, "Could this be the greatest song ever?"
OK, even if it's not, that's quite an impressive list of A-listers on one song. But then take a look at the lyrics. I'm not resonating with so much materialistic bragging. Holding off any further thought though until the song comes out, now less than a week away on July 4th.
After previewed a few months ago in her Pepsi commercial, here goes the full version of "Grown Woman" — a new, empowering groove from Queen Bey with Timbaland on the production and The-Dream co-penning the expected release for Beyonce's upcoming album.
In case you missed it, Jodeci posted about the pregancy rumors coming to a screeching halt! Jay-Z confirmed that Beyonce is NOT pregnant. Ouch, E! Online. Worst case scenario for breaking news like this.
A busy Sunday in entertainment and sports today, huh? It kicked off with the NFL Playoffs resuming with one of the best games of the year - Atlanta's two point victory over Seattle, then was followed by New England's advancement into the AFC Championship Game, the Golden Globes, which saw Homeland, Daniel Day Lewis, and Jodie Foster amongst many winners (Foster also delivering an odd, yet touching speech where she came out with the simple words, "I'm single."), and to cap it off - new music from Justin Timberlake.
With the new single featuring Jay-Z and longtime collaborator behind the boards, Timbaland, also comes the news of a new album to be released this year by JT entitled, The 20/20 Experience. You can listen to "Suit & Tie" below. JT fans, what do you think of the news and new single?!
The hotly anticipated new comeback single, off the newly revealed upcoming album, The 20/20 Experience.
What do you guys think?
My first impressions: Not really feelin' the intro, and overall... just mediocre. I can see this growing on me and I can see an upwards trend of the Suit & Tie combo once this single hits mainstream consciousness (and that's a good thing. Let's keep it classy, fellas.) But ehhh... just 3 stars from me. Rate it yourself below!
UPDATE: No new song today, but instead a one-minute teaser to new music entitled "I'm Ready" (which has no new music) and a countdown to 3 days from now (which is likely the real release of new music... but who knows?). And then Billboard is reporting that sources say JT is planning on releasing an album, entirely produced by Timbaland, sooner than later, with 20 tracks having been recorded already. Looks like everyone was teased pretty good today.
The track may come out tomorrow, but for now... Create-A-Caption!
01.09.12 11:58pm CT: Tomorrow morning, rumors are looking more and more clear that Justin Timberlake is making his return to music - accompanied by music's biggest power couple: Jay-Z & Beyonce. Produced by Timbaland.
And given JT's tweet, it looks like we'll find out for sure tomorrow morning. (But hey, he could be counting down to a late breakfast or somethin...?)
