Black Friday isn't just a big day for shopping — it's also a big day for music on the strength of the new "TKO RMX" alone.
Justin Timberlake enlists J. Cole, A$AP Rocky, and Pusha T for the new version that leaves his vocals on the hook. Everyone will be talkin' about it because of J. Cole's response to Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse.
IMHO, it sounds like he glorifies it even more on accident, even saying his family was wondering how he'd respond and how the girl he was courtin' had it playing on her iPhone. As a result, I'm not sure the bars that follow are that strong. Listen in below and determine for yourself.
Justin Timberlake "TKO RMX" f/ J. Cole, A$AP Rocky, & Pusha T
We know the Jay Z features for Textbook Timbo are at least at 2 — first was the recent leak "Know Bout Me"; now, we get the best preview of "Bounce" above. This has more Jay Z rhymes goin in the background, and oh yes, the track definitely has that bounce. Watch above.
Here's the track for your weekend. New Timbo, Jay Z, Drake, and James Fauntleroy. I'd like to *Tibs Fav. three fifths of this track: Drake's verse, Fauntleroy at the end, and the production. Give this a spin.
Jay Z & Timbaland premiere "Bounce" @ Robinson Cano's birthday party in Belgium
More Timbaland previews? No complaints here. A savvy club-goer in Belgium hit record as Jay & Timbo announced they were premiering a new song "Bounce" at Robinson Cano's birthday party. I assume we can expect this one on Timbaland's upcoming album, the newly renamed Textbook Timbo (see: below).
Remember the talk on the hottest collab on paper, "Sinatra in the Sand" earlier this summer?! Nas, Jay Z, JT, produced by Timbaland. Well, Nas revealed some more details on the collab in this new interview with the Huffington Post.
One particular track off the album that has piqued fans’ interest is, “Sinatra In The Sands,” featuring Justin Timberlake and Jay Z. What was the recording process like?
Excitement… Excitement to work and be in the place that we’re all are at, musically. Those are the guys who lasted the test of time, and those guys are at the top of their game. They’re just company to be in. So that’s the whole vibe of that. And of course the title says it all.
Lyrically, where are you taking fans on the track?
More like from a musician’s stand point, someone who’ve been around. Because Sinatra has been around and he has a long, long standing with the stage and the audience for years. And he evolved. His talent got better just like wine. And I think that’s something a lot of people want to achieve. So that’s what this song is really about. Striving to be the best you, like Sinatra had become.
I think we're all ready for it. Once again, what a lineup.
