The latest episode tonight of T.I. & Tiny's The Family Hustle is one that has more of a direct relation to Tip's music career. Namely that his son Major "asks T.I. to be in his new music video for his single 'Hello' with Cee Lo Green." T.I. then "decides to incorporate the entire family." In brief, this was really fun to see. T.I.'s words of encouragement to Major, and his cutaways, were heartwarming and humorous respectively.
Don't get teased and look up the final product to see how it turned out — I'll save you the time because I just did, hah! This is the video that everyone will fall on, the official "visualizer" to "Hello". T.I. & Cee-Lo haven't dropped that music video yet, but the premiere is set for tomorrow night at 7 CT.
T.I. did drop a music video today though — his new single with Lil Wayne for "Wit Me". Watch that below and download the song / read my commentary here.
T.I. drops the new single for with Lil Wayne called "Wit Me". This one was admittedly off to a rocky start when Wayne begun the song with the line, "put my dick in your face" (yup, seriously), but his verse got better as it went on and T.I.'s verse was a pretty analytical one as well. I think longtime fans of both will enjoy this record and it's a borderline *Tibs Fav. for me. Come back tonight when the music video will premiere!
Here is a dope new weekend roundup of a variety of news and tidbits that happened amongst all the #YeezySeason mania that is going on, hah!
First off, up above, De La Soul performed live with The Roots on Jimmy Fallon. Above is the feel-good "A Rollerskating Jam Named Saturdays" and "Jenifa Taught Me" can be viewed here. De La's got a new album coming out (!) entitled You're Welcome, slated for this Fall.
An intriguing upcoming collab was announced — Mario & Nicki Minaj! Mario revealed the single on the way, produced by Polow Da Don, via a handwritten note from the heart (seen below). May 21st, you can expect to hear this.

Here's the latest episode of T.I. & Tiny's The Family Hustle as, per the show's description, "When T.I. sees Major spending more time with his video games than his friends, T.I. decides to set up a play date for Major."
This reminds me of the time Mama Tibs did the same for Lil Tibs — I was too occupied playing NBA Jam on Sega Genesis that she told me to go out and play real basketball with the older neighbors. Naturally, I was ON FIRE! (like Nate Robinson...errr... Game 1 Nate Rob, not Game 4 Nate Rob... *bonus video*!)
According to Billboard.com T.I. is officially a free agent and he will not accept any major deals from any label offering under eight figures. So T.I. plans to do everything independent as for now.Well it's been a total of ten years T.I. gave us hit records while signed to Atlantic Records. His goals now includes proving he is worth 200 million. His label Hustle Gang plans to conquer, outshine and out-hustle every one in their face stated T.I. during an recent interview. Earlier this week T.I. and Hustle Gang released their mixtape G.D.O.D. and T.I. feels they put in work and everyone was dedicated. The big question is how does T.I. plan to run things different now then in the past? Well T.I. said he knows what to do now, before it was a trial period and mistakes were made but now their a lot more strategic. Well lets see what Hustle Gang is going to bring to the table and will T.I. get the 200 million he feels they deserve.
Even with the release of the group's first mixtape this week, T.I. wants to add to his Hustle Gang roster. He says in this new interview he wants to sign Yo Gotti, Problem, Kirko Bangz, and the name that made me raise my eyebrows: Jeremih. The Chicago singer has yet to collab with T.I., B.o.B, Trae Tha Truth, and Iggy (to my knowledge) but I can see those potential collabs yielding some hits. Other news out of the interview: T.I. says that 2 Chainz will be replacing Future on the America's Most Wanted Tour.
