U.S. Women's Soccer wins Gold Medal

Stoppage time just ended and Team USA has completed their quest for a gold medal! Hope Solo, Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, and the crew earned redemption for their 2011 World Cup final loss vs. Japan with a 2-1 victory today. It was Carli Lloyd's (#10) goal at the start of the second half that put the U.S. up 2-0. Japan was only able to net one before time ran out. Today's final caps off a thrilling journey, which included a last-minute, come-from-behind victory in the semis against Canada. It's great to see the joy and pride that the U.S. Women's team played with and inspired in our country - this group are very well-deserving gold medalists!

Team USA breaks all sorts of records vs. Nigeria

This guy had a Team USA Olympic record 37 points, including 10 of the team's again record of 26 3s. Twenty-six?! The final was USA 156, Nigeria 73. The 156 points is an Olympic record and they also set records for most field goals (59) and field-goal percentage (71%). Silly. We were astounded at the office yesterday. To top it all off, Anthony Davis forgot to put his jersey on. Classic rookie mistake.
