Kendrick Lamar reacts to Kanye's premiere of "New Slaves"

At one point during the start of #YeezySeason this weekend, I thought to myself what his fellow peers in the industry are thinking about how he premiered "New Slaves". Naturally, and expectedly, I'm not the only one as Sway was thinking the same and got thoughts from Kendrick Lamar about the spectacle that still has everyone buzzing. It's cool to hear that K. Dot is inspired by the "New Slaves" premiere and it makes me think back to his outdoor concert for Good Kid, m.a.a.d. city outside of Staples Center last fall. With one like that under his belt, I bet Kendrick Lamar comes up with something innovative again like this, and along the "create an experience" lines of Kanye's "New Slaves" as well, for his next big release.

Wayne Brady freestyles on Sway in the Morning

Wayne Brady's got some tight rhymes, yo! Seriously though. He jumped on the radio with Sway and went through the "5 Fingers Of Death". Though rapping is not his profession, improv is. So naturally, a freestyle is up his alley and I found myself tuned in til the end, and nodding my head in agreement with his opening lines about rappers when "5 AM In Toronto" came on.

Plus, I saw this from my homie Hetal in the Facebook feed, who also linked to this — an old "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" rap freestyle sketch with none other than Stephen Colbert. Another great watch below:

Snoop Dogg details conflict, last moments with 2Pac

Loading the player...

Talk about a story. Snoop Dogg sits down with Sway for nearly half an hour and about 15 minutes in talks about his friendship with Biggie, which precursors details I had never known about his conflict with 2Pac that went unresolved prior to 'Pac's untimely death. 2Pac was upset that Snoop was showing love to Biggie and Snoop recounts the flight he took with Pac, Suge Knight, and Death Row to Vegas that fateful week. Snoop says Pac ignored him and was worried Pac and the Death Row crew might do something to him... so he went to sleep holding a knife! Wow. Fortunately, Snoop got the reassurance from his mother Afeni that Pac loved him. Hear Snoop tell it at the 20 minute mark and if you got time, sit down and listen to the whole interview.

Lil Wayne reveals 'I Am Not A Human Being II' release date

I know we've been here before, but Wayne has pushed back his album, citing his recent health issues, but it looks as if now the YMCMB leader is ready to go full force with I Am Not A Human Being II on February 19th, he tells MTV's Sway. Soon after he'll embark on a world tour. Will Wayne come back strong with this new album? Or will it just contribute to his ongoing decline in the rap game?
