The Second City saint and SaveMoney general, Chance the Rapper, made a long awaited return to the city that raised him as he brought his Social Experiment Tour to the city of Chicago on Nov 27. This begins the first of two back to back shows in Chicago. The hometown crowd at the Riviera even got a special look into new additions Chance has been working on as the Acid Rap prodigy graced the crowd with a new track. The new song is a culmination of Chance's success that dabs into his upbringing in the city of Chicago, setbacks, owning the respect of his city at a young age, covers he's graced, achievements he's attained, and the overall hunger the emcee possesses to continue to make music for listeners to believe in.
SaveMoney is literally everywhere. If you haven't seen the sticker or the graffiti tag somewhere around the city, you've probably seen them all over the country or all over the INNANET. It seems like the takeover isn't showing any signs of slowing down as the team releases something almost every week. Today, Dally Auston & Joey Purple team up over an eerie OnGaud produced track. Both artists do their thing, and shouts out to OnGaud who are also plotting their own takeover with recent hits for other SaveMoney artists as well as other local Chicago emcees.
Now comes Kami de Chukwu's second half of his Thanksgiving Eve releases, as part of the Savemoney Thanksgiving takeover. This release comes in the form of a track entitled "Savior," which is an early release off #LettersFromTheVilla, and features a smoothly eerie piano-backed beat by Ill, while Kami himself waxes poetic about people's great expectations for him. Tune up and in above and become one with the takeover. #SAVEMONEY
