Durant has left agent Rob Pelinka and Landmark Sports to throw up the ROC with Jay-Z and Roc Nation Sports.
“[Durant] wants Jay-Z to handle his branding,” a source told Yahoo! Sports. “He had a chance to be with his idol and couldn’t say no.”
I had a convo with Maks G, who casually observed that Durant has the most commercials of anyone in the NBA. And yeah, he edges CP3 and Cliff Paul and Blake Griffin's dry humored KIA commercials. Now with Jay and his creative team by his side, I only see Durant's brand involved in even more memorable commercials and mainstream notoriety in general. Should be something to keep in the back of your mind. And now, what will the ripple effect be for more athletes to join Jay & the ROC?!
Jay Z's Roc Nation is growing steadily and today we have confirmation that Elijah Blake is that newest member to the camp. Blake's not quite that house-hold name we all know yet, but his latest known work is his feature on Rick Ross' new album, God Forgives, I Don't, for the track "Presidential". Not bad, not bad at all Elijah. Mr. Blake is also the mastermind for writing Keshia Cole's new single "Enough of No Love". So even though he may not be a name you know, it's safe to say that you should start learning. Oh yeah, one more thing, Blake twitted that he's been workin with J. Cole and that he's produced a track on J. Cole's album. The Roc is in the building y'all!
New York City get ready for the grand opening of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, featuring none other then Jay-z. Jay-Z will be holding a total of 8 shows to celebrate the opening of the new center.
