Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" has catapulted to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 this week and is the U.K.'s fastest-selling single this year with 190K during the first week. With this success, Thicke is riding that momentum of the summer single for the release of his album of the same name on July 30th. I dig the strategy, especially with the album now two singles deep with the recent release of "4 The Rest Of My Life". I also suspect we see the release of a single with the potential to be the next hit because of features of Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz.
And if you're still unsure why "Blurred Lines" is #6 in the country, then you obviously haven't seen the explicit version of the video...
Here's a radio rip of the new single that Robin Thicke premiered on Sway In The Morning. The song features 2 Chainz and my all time favortie, Kendrick Lamar. The will.i.am produced track has a club feel to it which will have the ladies dancing and hitting falsettos. Check it out.
Wow. This came out over a week ago and I have been slacking, because this needed to be shared with the Gowhere World ASAP. With the whole Avengers popularity of 2012, this is a perfect fit for the end of the year. It starts out with spoken word by Rudy Francisco, then choreography by Keone Madrid to Robin Thicke's "Superman." Another example of two mediums of art joining together in perfect harmony. The dancing starts at 1:25, but make sure to watch from beginning to end, as the texture changes at 4:00. Look out for an effortless "butterfly" from Chris Martin at 2:45. If I had to choose a favorite moment, 3:33 "I will be there when you need someone to dance with" is ridiculously smooth.
Keyshia Cole will also expected to return to BET airwaves in her new show Keyshia & Daniel: Family First. Catch the show airing October 9th at 10pm ET on BET. Make sure to check out Keyshia’s lasted track "Trust & Believe".
