This past Saturday, November 24th at Copernicus Theatre marked a day of Chicago representation at World of Dance 2012.  Puzzle League took home first place followed by CODA in 2nd, and Boom Crack! Dance Company in 3rd.  All three crews are based out of Chicago and train in this city.  Take a bow Chicago dancers, these were three amazing performances.  Below are the videos of CODA, Boom Crack!, and (celebrity exhibition performance) Mos Wanted Crew.  Courtesy of World of Dance.

Choreographer Chris Martin to teach in Chicago on September 8

For many in the Chicago dance community, "FINALLY" is the word that comes to mind after an announcement from Puzzle League.  Chris Martin has been steadily gaining popularity in the YouTube world, with over 100,000 views on this video alone.  Chris, Carlo Darang, and Nic Ballecer dance to the cool, calm "Bad Girl" by Usher.  It was extremely difficult to pick a personal favorite moment from this video, as the whole thing is just completely sexy from beginning to end, but at about 0:33 to 0:38 his musicality really shines.  If you are a person who has always wanted to get into dancing, this workshop is a perfect opportunity at only $10 a class or $15 for both! See the event detail for more information.
