Dreamvillans everywhere can rejoice as rapper/producer Elite releases his new project, "Level Up"
Level Up is a narrative based project following Elite through the first year of his life after moving from Byram, CT to Brooklyn, NY. The story starts with a Prologue introducing the supporting character (She) which is the only non-linear section of the story. “She” is reintroduced on the song “Devil In a Red Dress” but until then, we follow Elite through his newly found loco life, exploring being single and free. The second half of the project focus’s on a relationship that seemed doomed from the start, but took some complex twists and turns before crumbling during the climax of “Game 7″. The title track “Level Up” signifies Elite’s ascension to new heights of understanding and success, but only after experiencing pain. We must tear the muscle in order for it to grow back stronger.
Omen drops a new unreleased track produced by J. Cole — a very visual and lyrical song that you've come to expect from the talented artist. I liked when he switched up the flows mid-verse. Give this one a few listens and let it grow on you. New Omen project coming this Fall.
Omen lets loose a self-produced track he's had in the vault with "Medusa" above. Bonus points for the eye-catching cover as well. The next project from Omen is Elephant Eyes, which is slated for this Fall.
Chicago recording artist, K.M. Tha Original connects with Omen for this record coming off KM's upcoming project, Better Late Than Never. Hit the player above for the full length "On My Life" stream and download.
What up Villains, this is Omen. It’s been awhile. It feels great to be putting out a new project. This is dedicated to my favorite producer of all time, J Dilla. Most of you all know he passed away from Lupus some years ago and therefore, I’ll never get to work with him officially. But, this is my way of doing that, showing my appreciation for his inspiration and legacy. A Glorious Cool EP features all production from songs J Dilla produced in his career. Some are well known beats, some are more rare. I hope you enjoy this, go out and seek more of Dilla’s music and truly learn what made him a legend. Thank you for your support. I love yall.
