After looking over this weeks Top 5, four out of the five songs are really that kind of zone out to music so I hope you all get that same feeling that I did when I was putting this list together. Lets not waste anymore time and get into these tracks.
Easily the most anticipated song that so many people have been looking forward to in a long time. I compared it to the Mayan calendar, and though the song didn't live up to all the anticipation that it had recieved it still did better then the Mayans. I think it was a solid return for Justin, an I'm still pretty confident that the final album is going to be dope as hell.
There isn't much that can be said about this song that hasn't already been said. The obvious new attraction to this song is hearing Big Boi and Andre 3K on the same song again. Hopefully we won't have to wait another couple of years before we hear them together again because this just reminds us how great they are together.
This is a song that I fear people might have over looked because of the unfimiliar name, but your hearing it here first. Mr. Gage is dope. I've known about him because I'm homies with his camp SUH, but this is my first time hearing his music and I am very impressed. Stay in tuned with this guy.
Murph Watkins finds himself in my Top 5 yet again. Every time I hear new music from him I can't help but to think a better version of Curren$y and this song furthered that idea. Listen for yourself and tell me I'm wrong.
The final song on this weeks list is a definite change of pace compared to the other four songs on the list. When I listen to this it serves its purpose, which to me is club/riding music. If your looking for a dope track to kick off the night to "Millions" is for you.
So that's this weeks list, hope you liked it and if you didn't feel free to tell me about it.
Murph Watkins, Chicago’s next big thing? I first came across Murph Watkins about a year ago being featured on a song alongside fellow Chicago rappers Wheatie and The Boy Illinois. After hearing his verse I immediately heard similarities Curren$y, laid back flow but lyrics that not only stuck out but stuck with you. After staying up on his music, the past couple months I’ve been seeing what looks like the ground work being laid for Murph to start building his success. After releasing a dope EP titled The Plague, getting consistent support from the blogs, some solid visuals, and most recently releasing a new track that wasn’t featured on The Plague Murph is on the brink of being next in Chicago. If you’re unfamiliar with Murph Watkins here are some of his own words introducing himself.
"Rap music is entertainment, and an art form that takes serious skill to be considered great... I believe I have serious skill so there were no other options."
Where are you from?
I'm from Chicago, Southside, 79th... Just recently moved from the Hundreds...
How long have you been rapping?
Since I was 11.... So 11 years now lol
Who are your musical influences?
Nas, Jay-Z, and Eminem... Pretty cliché but those 3 are geniuses in their own right.
What’s next for Murph Watkins?
I plan on dropping a few projects in 2013 as well as some CRAZY DOPE ASS VISUALS...
Gowhere's new motto is "Gowhere You Love", which is basically people doing whatever it is that they love to do. So it would be safe to say that for you that would be rap, so what is it about rap that you love so much to make you want to make a career and life out of it?
Rap music is entertainment, and an art form that takes serious skill to be considered great... I believe I have serious skill so there were no other options. I'm going where I'd love to be... Which is to the top of the billboard charts (while keeping it pure).

First and foremost let me say Happy New Year to you all and I hope you had a Merry Christmas. You all might have noticed that I didn't post a Top 5 List last week, sorry for that but this little thing called Christmas was going on so I was a little busy but I'm back now. So lets jump into this weeks list shall we.
When I first listen to this song I immediately wish I had dreads. This was an unexpected collab between these two artist and I think the end result was pretty dope. Perfect riding music or dread shaking music in the club. I'm not a huge fan of Gucci but this was put on my iPod fairly fast. And is it me or do you all hear a Chicago drill flow in Gucci verses?
This song goes along the same lane as the Gucci track at the top of this weeks list. I can ride to this and see myself having a good time to it in the club. Solid track.
Murph Watkins is an up and coming artist from Chicago that I've been listening to lately. If this is your first time hearing him then you really need to download his EP The Plague that he dropped a few weeks back. Another Chicago MC that we need to be on the lookout for.
If ever there was a recipe to make a song that the streets would like I think this song would be the end result. First you'll need Lil Wayne, then you add a Mike Will Made It beat, sprinkle in a little Drake and Future, then make the song about something that everybody would respect, like "Bitches Love Me." Eat up.
So that's this weeks list and let me say that my riding music playlist has had a good week. So like always feel free to let know your thoughts in the comments section or hit me up on Twitter.
