Black Sunset is a 15 track tape that highlights the stream of consciousness train of thought of a troubled, yet visionary, freshman in college living the nightlife. While the first half deals with the excitement of the moment moving forward towards the dreams I hope to achieve, the second half deals with the mental struggles and relational hardships leading up to this moment, that often come to my mind as I come down from the substances of that night. These moments have very little detail beyond the obvious leaving the listener to interpret and relate these songs to their own life, because Black Sunset is meant to serve as a guide through your own mind rather than a tale of mine. The mixtape features production from NGB, B DOT EATZ, Shocker G, Tu, and myself, Brew, as well as collaborations from up and coming Reesh, Jo-V, Tu, and the talented Cheyenne Sanchez. While random, as the thought process often can be, Black Sunset will influence listeners to take a hard look in the mirror, whether 14 years old or 40 years old.
Duane Jackson is a music artist from Binghamton, NY. He's 26 years old and has been recording music since the middle of '02 however he began taking it more seriously little over a year ago. With only 2 shows under his belt and a recently dropped first album self-titled "Duane Jacksons Day Off" it would seem he's new to the game. Still, he has recorded over 350 songs to date and is no rookie to the music. His style goes between slow and fast tempo songs yet doesn't follow the club music formula, his approach aims more towards the Joe Budden "Mood Muzik" feel with many reflective, almost confessional tracks. Duane has learned to be resourceful regarding most angles of producing and packaging of an album himself due to having little to no budget to work with. It's never been the money he's interested in, it's the ability to be heard. With a lot on his mind and the one thing he knows being music, he's chosen that as his avenue to get his word out.

The reason for the name of the project is due to Williams being from Toledo, Ohio which is a very "Uknown" city when it comes to hip hop/ rap music and his dreams of one day making it out, not just making it minor and becoming satisfied.
