When you think of Chicago lingo, you think of this phrase. Throughout the past year, Millon $ Mano, Mic Terror, Hollywood Holt, Gzus Piece, & Jon James have spearheaded the Treated movement with iconic hats worn by fellow local artists like a GLC or a Sulaiman and even some big-name acts getting in on the fun from The Weeknd to Kanye West.
Today, they deliver on their collaborative album, appropriately titled Treated, and it is available for your listening pleasure below. Features come from the aforementioned GLC, Sir Michael Rocks, YP, Freddie Gibbs, CurT@!nS and more. Enjoy the album below and the new video to coincide with the Treated Crew's release: "Whip".
Check out the fresh slideshow above illustrating the fusion of artist, brand, and media as we have opened our office doors for a variety of national and local Chicago artists, and gifted them free hats and gear from one of our sponsors — New Era!
Plus! I'm also bringing back a hilarious video we did with GLC when we gifted him some Chicago New Era lids and a Dallas Mavericks one that he rocked in the "Mack On, Mack Strong" video, directed by our own Terrence Jones. Ism!
It's a GWHH Premiere! Off Mic Terror's #MondaysAreTerrible series comes "Hell Yeah!," featuring Gzus Piece over production from Doc Da Mindbenda. Download this!
What an exciting day when Mic Terror from Treated Crew comes thru Gowhere Hip Hop Headquarters! During Mic Terror's visit, we went to 7-Eleven for free slurpies, played basketball, and talked about his favorite video games. During my sit down with Mic Terror, we talked about “Treated” hats that you see a few semi-popular artists such as Kanye and Jay-Z wearing (just kidding about the semi-popular part), his upcoming works and his favorite parts about them, the crew’s upcoming album and his birthday present that I need to start saving up for. Also after watching this video, you’ll learn more about what Mic Terror needs on an island to be content. Check out this entertaining interview with one of the most down to earth people on this planet and don’t forget to keep a look out for his solo works and Treated Crew's upcoming album. Also, Mic Terror will be featured on MTV2's Sucker Free Chicago on July 15th so keep a look out for that. Enjoy friends!
