Well, if you were one of those many unfortunate people like myself who can’t attend Jay-Z’sMade In America Festival your in luck. Hov has teamed up with Hollywood producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer to produce the documentary style film. The file will show every aspect of the festival through the eyes of Jay-Z.
"The festival showcases 20 pre-eminent artists that speak to the new generation,” Basker tells the NY Post. “I am producing the film with Steve Stoute and Jay. Ron is directing. It is going to be born through Jay-Z’s perspective . . . how he puts the event together.” He added, “Jay stayed the king for a very long time . . . I can’t even begin to explain how he is capable of remaining relevant. He is a phenom, like a musical Michael Jordan".
I really can’t wait for this! Seeing Jay-Z myself live 3 times he puts on a great show. Plus the festival will feature performance sets from Drake, Odd Future, MayBach Music Group, and Run DMC to name a few.
After the original release date of August 28th, Meek Mill's debut LP, Dreams & Nightmares, has been officially confirmed that it will now be dropping October 30th. Quite the difference with 2 months there eh? However, we can expect his second single, the follow up to "Amen", to be hitting the airwaves in a couple of weeks here. So stay tuned. Church!
Mariah Carey, who is the diva of all divas, likes to do any and everything on a bigger scale then most. So it’s no surprise that she’s pulling out all the stops for upcoming album.
According to Billboard, Carey’s album is set to be release in March just in time for the new season of American Idol, in which she will be a judge. Mariah Carey’s new single “Triumphant (Get Em)”, which features Meek Mill and Rick Ross will impact urban radio on August 13th, and it is already available on iTunes.
Carey’s manager, Randy Jackson, also confirmed “Triumphant (Get Em)” is set to premiere in the coming weeks, and the video was directed by her husband Nick Cannon. Also Carey has a big performance planned for television that is set to air soon.
