Now We Even — do you think you'll be getting Ma$e's new album?
He later listed the following artists he'd like to get for the album. Jay Z, Drake, Beyonce, Destiny's Child, 2 Chainz, Lauryn Hill, Seal, Cee-Lo Green, Diddy, Meek Mill, Fabolous, Dipset, and Ariana Grande.
In a related story, I'd also like those artists on my album.
Drake, French Montana, & Cassie at OVO Fest instagram filtered to the max.
Yup, Drake posts don't stop on the weekend. Today it's a rumor that comes out that Cassie may be his first big signing to OVO. I think that would be a great fit actually. Cassie sounds great on minimalist productions like her biggest hit "Me & U" and we all know 40 & Co. would deliver that mix for Diddy's lady.
Here's the source — an upcoming Mediabase newsletter (via Necole Bitchie):
R&B singer and occasional model Cassie, who had one of the biggest 2006 rhythm-crossover hits with the minimal electro Ryan Leslie produced “Me & U” and has since then been signed under Sean Diddy Combs exclusive Bad Boy/Interscope distribution partnership, has now inked another deal with Drake and Noah “40″ Shebib’s OVO Sound, their first big signing. Riding high on the release of her new mixtape RockaByeBaby, well-received by fans and critics, Cassie is now preparing for a new single later this year, followed by her sophomore LP next Spring.
As for Mase, Drake says he's been talking with Mase on his future in the music industry. The video, via MTV, and quotable below. I don't know about an OVO signing with Drake's quote of "I don't think you should end up on anybody's label," but them working together... I can see that at the very least.
Funny enough, me and Ma$e have just been talking about what the future holds, about what he wants to do. And anything is possible man. I told Ma$e, ‘You’re Ma$e, at the end of the day so I don’t think you should end up on anybody else’s label.’
I would love to be involved. I know Kanye took an interest in Ma$e as well, because Ma$e is like the original fly guy that made it all look extremely fun, dancing [and everything You saw it at [OVO Fest], those guys can’t get on stage and be stiff and overly serious… it’s a party. There’s a lot of rappers who get out there and take themselves super serious and it’s not fun like that. They don’t laugh. Those guys got out there and proved why there are who they are. Two kings doing what they were born to do.
I’d love to work with Ma$e to be honest. I told him, ‘man I hope tonight’s not our last conversation.’
After a 2 week break from this sh*t, I'm back. Unfortunately for us this past week didn't produce too much heat, just a bunch of okay's and solids (smh). Lets not let that stop us from enjoying our weekend with some new bumps though. Take these few tracks I felt were a bit better and more fitting than the rest. This week I bring you records from the likes of Lil Wayne, Young Scooter, Alex Wiley, Dubb, and more. Lets get it!
Honestly, I think I enjoyed "Jugg Season" a bit more. Future makes that record. But Ma$e who I never expected to come with sh*t again, brought it on "Make It Through The Struggle." No idea what got into homie but he gets two thumbs up for his effort on this record. Now if only he could stay consistent with that sh*t. Guess we'll just see what happens. Personally, I doubt it. Prove me wrong though.
Said to come off Wayne's upcoming album, I Am Not A Human Being II, is this new release featuring 2 Chainz on the hook entitled, "Rich As F**k." I'll admit, I'm not that much into Wayne as I used to be. And I'm sure that's the case for many others around too. So Wayne can thank his 2 Chainz hook for the feature. Oh...and smfh at the end of this song. Super wack!
Tomorrow is Alex's big listening party event @ Jugrnaut for #ClubWiley. So why not throw one from him in the mix to get y'all prepped and going. Those of you who didn't catch this when I posted it yesterday can hop on now. #ClubWiley coming soon!
To be quite honest, this is just a filler. No one really came with it like that this week with the exception of a select few. So therefore I don't really have sh*t to say about this record. Just take it and go enjoy your weekend (It's a sad day. smh).

No honorable mentions this time around. But here's a video I really enjoyed this past week. It's one for Fabo's "Life Is So Exciting," off his S.O.U.L. Tape 2, featuring Pusha T.
Ma$e revealed to MTV Rapfix that he has officially got out of his Bad Boy contract, and as a free agent, he would only consider signing with G.O.O.D. Music or Drake. (No MMG?) One other revelation is that he says Diddy blocked his signing to G-Unit. Lastly, peep some bonus Ma$e freestyles - with MTV Rapfix here, and on the Sway Morning Show below.
Channel Zero TV just unearthed a rare interview with Murda Ma$e & Kanye West from almost 15 years ago in 1998 before the two entered a birthday party for Jermaine Durpi. As you'd expect, it's crazy to see Ma$e & 'Ye in a chill, candid moment from way back when. Enjoy the brief and entertaining video above.
