With Luol Deng the subject of trade rumors once again this summer, we may have seen the last of the 9-year veteran and 2-time all-star in a Bulls uniform. Hopefully not, as I'd love to see him lockin' up the perimeter with the breakout Jimmy Butler and a healthy D. Rose. But the NBA is an unpredictable business sometime (see: Thursday night) so you never know when a beloved player on your squad may be relocating.
I feel like it's a good time to appreciate what Luol Deng has done for not only the Bulls, but also through his many humanitarian efforts that take the spotlight in this recent Life + Times documentary on Deng. Across the 20 minutes, a more revealing than usual Luol shares stories from his trips home to his native Sudan and various projects he's worked on over the years. (We attended one of those back in 2011, Luol Deng Foundation's "Game And Give", the video of which I brought back below.)
But that's not all: for any fellow NBA nerd, you'll also appreciate a lot of the anecdotes and reflections from Deng's time with the Bulls, his various roles, and how he ended up choosing Duke over Indiana for his one year of college (great Coach K story). Plus, how Manute Bol introduced basketball to his family and some candid clips of Luol playing FIFA with his buddies, rapper ANTHM and Adam Andre. A great video to sit-down with above — shouts to Luol, can't wait for next season!
Allow us to introduce ourselves. We’re Mitch & Nillz of The Bulls Show, a podcast dedicated to Chicago’s 6-time NBA Champions. Every/most weeks we’ll be bringing you news and analysis on all things basketball and probably a little bit more. Admittedly, we’re not experts or insiders, but rather just a couple of dudes that go hard for Derrick Rose and Company. Check out our latest recording here, as well as the rest of our episodes on any of the following platforms:
Mitch & Nillz break down the Bulls most impressive stretch of the season with an analysis of the team’s win in Miami. The guys discuss whether the victory was a fluke or instilled confidence that the Bulls have a legitimate chance against the Heat in the playoffs. Also in this episode, your co-hosts cover the latest Derrick Rose updates. Apparently, the show now has (unsubstantiated) sources with "exclusive" insight on the timetable of #TheReturn. Finally, no Bulls Show would be complete without the slowest "Fastbreak" on the internet, reviewing all the latest NBA news & notes – from cereal trash talk to topless shooting.
Ed. note: Recorded before last night's loss to Milwaukee.

The NBA continues their summer series of top 10 countdowns of every team's best plays of the season, and today, our hometown Chicago Bulls can be seen above! Some amazing memories. Rose's Christmas Day winner over the Lakers, the OT tip-in by Luol, and of course... well... actually, I won't spoil #1.
