Saturday night, Heineken Red Star Access invaded the end of summertime Chi once again this year - this time upping the ante, so to speak, with Nas & Pusha T performing live at the House of Blues. Above you can peep some official photos of the event, with DJ Green Lantern on the 1s and 2s and Affion Crockett hosting as well. Plus, I upped a few instagrams from Kuda and I (follow us there: KudaGWHH and gowherehiphop).
What I took away from the show: Nas' Chi-Town fans have clearly been loyal since the Illmatic days. He performed many classics from the debut album (and some big singles throughout his career all the way through Life Is Good) and the whole crowd was vehemently rhyming along to every lyric and/or recording the footage on their cell phone. The energy from the crowd was infectious to Nas and contributed his great set. Plus, Pusha T set the tone, as seen in a well-chosen performance of his verse from the "I Don't Like RMX", as you can see from the video we posted earlier today. Enjoy!
Follow GWHH in this new video above on our road trip from Chicago, IL to Austin, TX where we attended SXSW 2012 earlier this year! We were rollin' in double digits, rented a van, rented a house in Austin, and attended all of the big-name events that were going on all week at SXSW. Seen in the video is a compilation of some of the fun times we had together on the road trip and a glimpse at some of those events and interviews we got during the week. Easily one of the most memorable team trips ever, shoutout to #TeamGowhere!
