#GetWetWednesdays goes out with a bang! Krewella releases their debut album's fitting concluding track "This Is Not The End" featuring Scandinavian duo Pegboard Nerds. The track itself has a mix of Krewella's pop and dubstep style and it successfully hits each end of the spectrum within mere moments of each other. An instant *Tibs Fav.
And after all, this is not the end! Krewella put up the entire album Get Wet for full stream on their website Krewella.com. One week before its official release, you can press play and ride the waves of energy across 12 tracks in addition to downloading "This Is Not The End" for free above.
Of the newly revealed tracks, I also gravitated to "Human", "Enjoy The Ride", and "We Are One". Keep a close ear to those *Tibs Favs. as well and add Get Wet to NWTS next Tuesday, September 24th.
For this week's #GetWetWednesdays, the Krew put together a remix to Fall Out Boy's "Alone Together" as the theme of unity becomes a perfect fit for Krewella to add their style to this record. It's another example of the Krew's versatility, with this one being more the alternative/pop route, last week's "Watercolour (Acoustic RMX)" dabbling in the R&B realm, and the first track in the series "Party Monster" being the EDM banger. Of the three, I prefer "Watercolour", but all should be added to the roto, including this taste of a collab with Fall Out Boy (of which will also happen on Get Wet, the debut album out September 24th).
For this week's installment of #GetWetWednesdays, Krewella unleashes another new track that's not on the upcoming album, Get Wet, that doubles in showcasing the group's versatility, especially on the heels of the EDM banger "Party Monster". Their acoustic cover with Evan Duffy of Pendulum's "Watercolour" puts the spotlight on Jahan & Yasmine's vocals. The lyrics really resonate as well as the sisters add some raw emotion with each possessing their own unique pitch too. If I say so myself, I hear a little Evanescence flavor (yeah, 10+ years ago now...) in this track — a mix of the piercing female vocals over a primarily dark mood. I had to run it back after one listen and I plan on doing so again. An instant *Tibs Fav.
This is last week's #GetWetWednesdays as the Krew dropped this free track "Party Monster" to continue the weekly series through the release of their debut album, Get Wet, on September 24th. This one lands on the EDM side of Krewella's spectrum and is best heard at max. volume, or as their hometown crowd can attest, at a live show. We got the premiere of "Party Monster" at Krewella's performance in Chicago this time last month so this one has some sentimental value for us too. I dig this one and look forward to later today to see what else Krewella has in store.
Add Krewella to the mix of artists dropping new albums next month! The Chicago electro-pop trio is prime for their debut album through Columbia Records called Get Wet and have broke through the EDM scene with their hit single "Killin It" and their summer smash on the Top 40 stations "Alive".
Get Wet will highlight the group's versatility of pounding EDM-infused production by Rain Man with catchy vocals from sisters Jahan & Yasmine. I've been continually impressed with the album's previews on top of the two singles mentioned above, and that reigns true yet again with the release of "We Go Down", accompanying the tracklist below. This *Tibs Fav. is another example of that versatility and I can see it developing into a unifying uplifting anthem and future single. Press play and peep the tracklist that also features a collab with bothPatrick Stump & Travis Barker on the same record (intriguing...)
Lastly, ICYMI, we not only caught up with the Krew here in our hometown recently, but also in Las Vegas! Watch the new interview with Samantha LebbosAND look out for another video with Julian On The Radio as the Gowhere:PHX team linked up with Krewella too this past weekend. We see them everywhere, haha! Looking forward to their debut album, and, lastly (forreal this time), happy birthday shoutout to Jahan!
Nothing but laughs with the best electronic dance music group. Govia and I met up with Krewella in Las Vegas during EDC Vegas weekend and let me tell you, everyone at EDC was anticipating to see the group perform. Thousands of people packed their stage and the ambiance was just a thrill.
Krewella talks about their favorite foods, what they do when they get in to an argument and their upcoming bus tour that every one should experience. Sit back and enjoy this interview at Daylight in Las Vegas where we sweat in 105 degree weather, laugh and talk about the in's and out's of Jahan, Yasmine and Rain Man.
Two of the hottest artists in the dance scene combine for a fresh new track called "Legacy". It's Nicky Romero and the hometown's Krewella. I'm especially vibing with the vocals from the ladies and off the preview alone, we have a *Tibs Fav. The song is in full below.
