My most anticipated collab off Hall Of Fame is liberated today with the full album leak. Had to spotlight this one as it delivers on the hype with the guest features involved: Nas & Kid Cudi. It's Big Sean that shines brightest amongst his fellow stars with two stellar verses, including a memorable third verse where he uses repetition well as part of his storytelling. Nas does his usual brilliant job with the second verse and Kid Cudi takes it home with an eclectic verse that picks up in intensity as it goes. This is the type of track to run back a few times to fully digest it and after having done so already, I want to keep running it back. That's a sign of an instant *Tibs Fav. and "First Chain" is certainly one of the standouts of Hall Of Fame.
Today in peculiar collaborations, Beck's Beer released this promo video in which Kid Cudi shows off a label he designed for the brand. Unbeknownst to me, Beck's has elicited artwork from several other musicians and artists including Mark Ecko, Willis Earl Beal and others, for use on limited edition bottles.
In the video, Cudi gives us a peek at the bottle, which seems to resemble artwork from his series of "Man On the Moon" albums. He also talks about the making of his latest album (Man on the Moon 3?), saying he's "pretty sure no one has this much fun when making an album." That's a bold statement, but you go ahead and make it, Cudi. Look out for the labels to hit store shelves soon as they adorn 13.2 million bottles of Beck's.
Logic is one of the most talented artists in the game right now, and the video above will show you why you should check him out at a venue near you. The House of Blues show in Chicago was a sold out, high energy orchastration, where Logic performed hits from his whole catalog along with a heavy emphasis on his new project "Welcome To Forever". Throughout the show he spoke of peace, love, and positivity — a message I appreciate his help in spreading, in combination with incredible lyrical ability, break-fast delivery, and a fiery authenticity that what he says, he means.
Just coming off his own tour, Logic also jumps on board 'The Cud Life Tour' where he'll open up alongside Tyler The Creator for the moon man Kid Cudi. All three artists have amazing live shows where they get the crowd extra hype, which is why I believe this is going to be one of the best tours this year. In conclusion I'll let the video speak for itself, with one final statement: Gowhere Hip Hop <3's Logic!
Previously: Kid Cudi "Cudi Zone" x "Memories" x "Day 'N' Nite" Live at SXSW 2013
Great news for longtime fans of Kid Cudi. He answered a fan on Twitter today confirming a return to the studio with the "Real Broski's Of Manhattan" (ha!) in Plain Pat & Emile. And not only that — it's for the upcoming, much talked about and equally anticipated, Man On The Moon 3. As one of those longtime fans of Cudi, I'm stoked.
Here's a tour I'ma get tickets for. Cudi, Big Sean, Tyler The Creator, and Logic. *nods head*
I'm personally a big fan of Cud, Tyler, and Logic who's on the come-up. Yes, I left out Tyler. Don't get me wrong, I love the dude's personality and brand; I just never got into his music the same way. After missing out on his last show while we were in SXSW, and also after #TeamGowhere's glowing review, I definitely want to see a live performance from Odd Future's frontman and this tour would be the perfect setting.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow. And I'll update this post if the dates/locations become revealed.

Kid Cudi lets loose some new music today! This one marks the return of his WZRD vibe as Cudi sings over a consistent and quality guitar-heavy production. As this one picks up, I like the song even more and I can't help but think of how great this would sound in a stadium. The crowd would be swaying from side to side — it'll definitely have a classic rock concert moment as the fans get familiar with this. Instant *Tibs Fav. and a must-hear for any Cudi fan.
I'm always curious about the creative process, and that goes double when details are revealed about my favorite album of 2013 (yup, that's right), Indicud. In a new interview with MTV, Kid Cudi discusses producing collabs with two of the game's hottest emcees right now: Kendrick Lamar & A$AP Rocky.
“Aside from the fact that they’re dope, I was really inspired to work with [Kendrick and A$AP] because I love their sound, and when you hear something new, you [think], ‘I wonder what my sound would be like with that.’ That’s how I think about features. Fusing two artists’ sound in a way where it makes sense and brings out this ‘super song’; that’s what I was trying to accomplish.”
On "Solo Dolo Pt. II":
Cudi also recalled that when Kendrick showed up at the studio — “he came in there f—ing ready to go. He came in there so ready to go, he was excited. I was so humbled by the fact that [Kendrick] was such a big fan of mine because sometimes I just feel out of touch with the new generation,” the 29-year old admitted. “I’m not even that old, but I was away for a while and it’s just really exciting for me to see the love from somebody like Kendrick who’s in a space where he’s just beasting and killing it.”The focus was on producing the record for Kendrick,” Cudi added. “I wanted to shine as a producer first. I wanted to show that side off more than anything else and that’s why I had my one verse then let Kendrick go ape-sh– crazy all over the rest of it.”
“I felt like that was a perfect beat for A$AP to get on there and speak some truths and talk to the younger generation, because he’s in a place where a lot of kids are up to him and Kendrick,” the Indicud MC said. “I just wanted to hear him say something a little bit more thoughtful, and he did that — he showed up. I was blown away by his craftsmanship, his professionalism and his overall mojo.”
Awesome. Love that last intention of wanting A$AP to push that boundary lyrically, and the more I listen to his verse on "Brothers", the more I dig it. This interview inspires yet another late night rotation of Indicud. A dope album to cop — get with it!
BUMP: Perhaps our best performance video to date! Our first of many more to come from SXSW (including more on Cudi). Enjoy!

03.15.13: The wizard knows how to get the crowd hype! Last night Kid Cudi performed at the Myspace Chevrolet SECRET SHOW at SXSW 2013 and delivered an absolutely spectacular show. We got a chance to capture his performance of 'Memories & Day 'N' Nite' to give you a taste of the epic night which ended with a set by Diplo. More videos to come SXSW 2013!
In case you missed, not one, not two, not three, *LeBron voice* but seven new covers of Complex from Rihanna yesterday - well, here's one more to boot. It's not of her, but of Kid Cudi, who will share cover duty with Rihanna on the flip side of their upcoming February/March issue.
Per usual with Complex covers, you get some strikingly powerful imagery. You can also read the cover story, entitled "Life After Death" here.
