Kanye, dressed to Kilt...

Designers work with Kanye to customize his kilt

Oh Kanye, I do give you props for not wearing a kilt on bare skin... The leather leggings pants give the look a great touch.  He first rocked the looked during his Watch the Throne tour, but his obsession with fashion and determination to "make it work" shows that he will stop at nothing.  Custom made by Givenchy and Riccard Tisci, Kanye's leather kilt is the subjects of many opinions... just look at all of those faces in the room!

And also, just for fun, this is a kilt with out the leggings. Always remember to lotion those ashy knees!

"N****s In Paris" goes 3x platinum; "No Church In The Wild" goes gold

3x platinum = 3 million sales. Quite the achievement for the 3 men above. "N****s In Paris" was such an iconic anthem a couple summers ago (and since) and launched the career of Hit-Boy to another level. In other milestones for The Throne, "No Church In The Wild" hit Gold status with 500K sales for the single. I think this GIF will wrap things up...

UPDATE: Kanye West & Alicia Keys LIVE @ 12.12.12. Concert

EDIT #2: Above is the full performance from Kanye West, who had Twitter trending with this set - performing his hit songs like "Gold Digger", "Good Life", and "Stronger" to, not his usual crowd at Madison Square Garden primarily there to see Bruce Springsteen or Paul McCartney, all the while wearing a leather black kilt. What did you think of the performance?

Bonus: Alicia Keys also performed and her set can be seen below. More info and to donate, visit 121212Concert.org.

RiP's Top 5 Songs of The Week

Well, well, well, we meet again for another one of my RiP's Top 5 Songs of The Week. Let's jump right into because I know you all having been waiting on this(wishful thinking).

2 Chainz "G.O.O.D. Morning"

This was already one of the more solid tracks from Cruel Summer to me, and I was always curious why 2 Chainz was even on the song with such a short verse. This was a good come back and 2 Chainz did his thing by himself.

Big Boi "Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors" f/ Little Dragon

I bet this is a real surprise, I have a Big Boi track in my Top 5(internet sarcasim). Once again Big Boi delivers, to bad this one didn't make the final cut, but I will be adding it to my iPod none the less.

Game "Murder" f/ Kendrick Lamar & Scarface

Having Kendrick Lamar on your album has become as important to rappers as a Stove to a chef. Even though only on the hook I think most people will attract to the song because they'll see featuring Kendrick Lamar. Dope song regardless, and Scarface is still a beast even after not releasing much in the past.

John Legend "Who Did That To You"

This soundtrack is starting to sounding like it might be one best to come out in a long time as far as urban music goes. John Legend delivered on this just like Ross did last week.

Game "Jesus Piece" f/ Kanye West & Common

First let me start off by saying that Common KILLED his verse. I was looking forward to an actual verse from Ye, but the song still was pretty dope.

So that's this weeks list, if you got opinions feel free to voice them in the comments of to me on Twitter.Until next week friends, two fingers to the side.

PREDICTIONS:

- Frank Ocean wins one of the 3 coveted awards of the evening: Album Of The Year, Record Of The Year, or Best New Artist. I wouldn't bat an eyebrow if he won all 3 - he's got the music and the compelling story behind him, but I also don't really listen to his competition so I can't sit here and compare it all. Ocean is well-deserving though and he'll take home one of those big awards.

- This lyrical hip hop head scoffs at the sight of Rick Ross & 2 Chainz in the Rap Album of the Year category, but I can't deny the big years they've had. That said, Take Care has gotta take this one right?

- Hard to pick one from the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category. I see it going to either "No Church In The Wild" or "Cherry Wine" and NOT "Wild Ones".

- Miguel's "Adorn" probably won't take Song Of The Year (isn't it funny to see that preceding "Call Me Maybe"?), but it will take best R&B Song and/or Best R&B Performance. It's funny to me because I don't vibe with "Adorn" like I do with much of the rest of Kaleidoscope Dream. But needless to say, I'm glad a nice song like that is getting recognized. Overall, my two best (and favorite) R&B albums that dropped this year, in KD and Channel Orange, are getting that premiere Grammy shine!

What do you think of the nominees? And what are your predictions??

My most anticipated track off Game's upcoming album of the same name: "Jesus Piece" flat out delivers.

I got Common with the nod, followed by Game & Kanye. Dope, thought-provoking rhymes all the way around and a fitting production as well.
