Today Justin Timberlake released his new single, “Take Back The Night” to fans who pre-ordered the second installment of The 20/20 Experience, which will arrive in stores September 30th. Just like the first installment of The 20/20 Experience you can expect heavy production from soon to be producer of the year Timbaland.
Today fans can preview the album right now. Both installments of The 20/20 Experience will be bundled into the “JT Complete Package,” which will be available as well on September 30th. Part of The 20/20 Experience will include 11 tracks and will also have a special surprise from Justin.
I wonder what the surprise is? Maybe extra songs that we wont know about till the release. I can’t wait till September 30th, because the first installment of The 20/20 Experience received an abundance amount of play on my iPod. Check the cover of the complete package below.
In a slick new video teaser above, Justin Timberlake lets listeners in on the new single for The 20/20 Experience Pt. 2 dropping September 30th. It's called "Take Back The Night" and sounds like it could be a pop smash that we're all accustomed to from JT. Also inspired to bring a poster and sharpie next time I pull up to the club.
Flex just premiered the new JZ/JT single "Holy Grail". I quickly went from 'lukewarm' to 'warm' on what will be one of the most talked about tracks off Magna Carta Holy Grail purely because of the star power involved. Look for these two to perform this song on the Legends Of Summer tour coming up this month. In the meantime, MCHG is live streaming on Hot 97 and available on (I think, because I don't have a) Samsung phones now.
A couple of my highlights: the Nirvana allusion and Jay-Z's second verse on.
Wow, look at those names again. And isn't your first thought, "Could this be the greatest song ever?"
OK, even if it's not, that's quite an impressive list of A-listers on one song. But then take a look at the lyrics. I'm not resonating with so much materialistic bragging. Holding off any further thought though until the song comes out, now less than a week away on July 4th.
If you can remember last week I posted about Mariah Carey and Miguel possibly shooting a video for the remix of “#Beautiful,” and it appears that was indeed what they were doing. This past weekend Mariah hit the studio with rapper Young Jeezy and producer Mike Will Made It. Jeezy hinted the possibility that he will in fact be on the remix tweeting:
I’m just going to take a wild guess and say Mike Will Made It will serve as the producer for the remix. That and he tweeted, “In the yo working with one of the worlds biggest RnB female artist. Another Banger.” Mariah Carey’s new album The Art of Letting Go will be in stores July 23rd. Also she is confirmed along with Justin Timberlake to performing this Sunday at the 2013 BET Awards.
Rarely do you see a song released like this: lyrics first. Well, Jay-Z's already against the grain for Magna Carta Holy Grail so it's fitting that it's him. Track 14, "Holy Grail", will feature Justin Timberlake and you can read the lyrics below. Looks like we may get a little Kurt Cobain from JT on the hook.
