Peyton Manning to join Justin Timberlake & Penny Hardaway as Memphis Grizzlies minorit...

Last month, I shared a story that said that Justin Timberlake was set to become a minority owner of the Memphis Grizzlies and today, the news is that he's not alone. Peyton Manning is set to join JT and Penny Hardaway in the minority owner role, which makes more sense if you know that Peyton went to the University of Tennessee and Penny went to college and grew up in Memphis. Looks like Brooklyn won't be the only new "it" place this season to catch a bball game, huh? Hopefully they all attend the same game and the three seemingly unreleated sports/music stars can make for one cool photo. More info via Ball Don't Lie.

Justin Timberlake may become part-owner of Memphis Grizzlies

Move over Jay-Z, you may soon have some company as a music superstar slash part-owner of an NBA franchise. ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that Justin Timberlake (pictured above stretching while wearing a Lakers shirt) is in talks with prospective new owner Robert Pera, CEO of Ubiquiti Networks, about contributing "a meaningful investment to the team" and that JT "plans to be active" with the Grizzlies. Timberlake, a Memphis native, would certainly boost the interest surrounding Rudy Gay, Marc Gasol, Mike Conley, and the talented bunch of Grizzlies, who will undoubtedly be more recognized by teenage girls as well. The sale to Pera is expected to go through, so it looks like we'll be seeing more Justin Timberlake in the NBA.

Justin Timberlake not releasing new album, despite contrary reports

Justin Timberlake became a trending topic today after reports surfaced that he is working on a new album. Said reports came about because producer Jim Beanz described hearing some new, "crazy" tracks that JT is working on. Beanz' exact words can be read here. Just now, however, Timberlake's publicist says to Entertainment Weekly that there are currently no plans for a new album and that the only music Justin is working on is for tracks on the upcoming album with frequent collaborator seen above, Timbaland, Shock Value 3. So JT fans, I understand the tease of today's news, but looking at things positively, it seems like there are some SV3 features on the way. Thoughts on JT and his long absence from music?!
