Pop singer Dev and her new single "Kiss Me" is worthy of a weekend pick up, especially for fans of Hit-Boy productions. Hit-Boy is behind the boards on this one as Sage The Gemini adds a feature as well.
The Brooklyn fans got a treat at Would You Like a Tour? tonite, as Drake's DJ, Future The Prince gave the longest preview of "Trophies" — the unreleased NWTS track produced by Hit-Boy. I like the triumphant vibe so far, but the fan footage can only provide such an impact. Gotta hold off 'til the CDQ hits, hopefully sooner than later.
In a new interview with HardKnock TV, Hit-Boy shared some intriguing stories about his experiences with Kanye and Jay — specifically when they brought him out during "N****s In Paris" (which he produced) during the Watch The Throne Tour. Plus, and I didn't know this, Hit-Boy tells the story of how it all aligned to meet Kanye in an L.A. studio and play him a beat that he carried around with him in hopes to play it for 'Ye when he eventually met. The whole interview touches on the value of having faith in yourself and holding that energy. It's something we hold our intention on as well at GWHH and it's cool to hear Hit-Boy talk about it as well. Finally, did you know Hit-Boy grew up in a single-parent home? He recalls those experiences, again with a nice positive outlook, to reel you in at the beginning of the interview. Good stuff above.
How about this for a studio session? Mariah with 4 of the game's biggest producers, past and present. Mike Will and Hit-Boy to her left, Darkchild and J. Warhol Jermaine Dupri to her right. I know our R&B specialists (and Mariah fans) Jodeci & KByrd2 are going to be excited for this upcoming collab. But Jermaine, stay off the phone! Don't you know an Instagram photo is being taken??
Here is a 30 second trailer as today's most up to date news on Drake's upcoming album, Nothing Was The Same, which showcases a bunch of expensive cars driving around the city set to a beat that reminds me of "All Of The Lights" (UPDATE: A new one by Hit-Boy & Rey Reel). And... that's it. September 24th. Fade to black.
Now to spoof this around Chicago in my Honda Accord...
If you're unsatisfied after the quick trailer, how about this great GIF of Orioles All-Star Chris Davis fouling a ball into his shirt. Ha!

Had to shine the spotlight on one of the standout tracks (and non-previews) of Audio Push's new mixtape, Come As You Are, tonight as the HS87 duo are joined by James Fauntleroy on the hook and Chicago rising star Vic Mensa on the last verse. Right away, Fauntleroy grabs your ear and his chorus later on is even more compelling. Priice's verse sets the tone as both members of Audio Push do their thing. Vic's verse is not to be slept on as well, as it goes on long and is a fun one to keep up with on first listen. Give this engaging one a listen and then check out the full tape below!
One last preview of Come As You Are — Audio Push's new project dropping tomorrow — and it's a good one. Backed by a Hit-Boy production and the slick flow of T.I. on a guest verse, Audio Push has a feel-good motivational jam on their hands with "Theme Song". T.I. kills it too and per usual with a Hit-Boy production, the subtleties are all on point. I love the changes heard once the scratching begins at the end so stay tuned all the way through.
