This year I set out to make a trilogy of my own that would fully explore my passion for music, and at the same time separate me from the sounds of the masses, or the Status Quo if you will. Prelude pt. 1 kicked off in January, with the sequel in April (around 4/20 of course lol)...It's been a pretty crazy year since then, and I've learned a lot about myself and what exactly I'm capable of creating. Taking some time off around my 22nd birthday in September, I went to Vegas to clear my mind and came back (without herpes, God is Good - so is protection) with a mindset of doing greater things with my sound. I brought in features from fellow NC rhymeslingers: A-10 (@TheRealA10_TFF) who is also a member of 2stepsabovethestars, Frank The Phre$h (@frankTHEphresh ) half of the NC rap group T.S.B.. Also the Chapel Hill based collective No9to5music artists Topiq the Smooth Prophet (@_Topiq_ ) and J. Rowdy (@Rowdylife) laced a couple jams on the project. Also, good friend of mine ETC (@ETC_ON_THE_RISE) joins in on the fun as well. Prelude pt. 3 is a 2 sided mixtape in an old school sense, just using mp3s lol, you'll hear the tape flip trust me. Otherwise its a journey through my ridiculous neural pathways, so you should probably grab whatever weapons, drugs, and cool dramatic shades you can gather for the ride.

Duane Jackson is a music artist from Binghamton, NY. He's 26 years old and has been recording music since the middle of '02 however he began taking it more seriously little over a year ago. With only 2 shows under his belt and a recently dropped first album self-titled "Duane Jacksons Day Off" it would seem he's new to the game. Still, he has recorded over 350 songs to date and is no rookie to the music. His style goes between slow and fast tempo songs yet doesn't follow the club music formula, his approach aims more towards the Joe Budden "Mood Muzik" feel with many reflective, almost confessional tracks. Duane has learned to be resourceful regarding most angles of producing and packaging of an album himself due to having little to no budget to work with. It's never been the money he's interested in, it's the ability to be heard. With a lot on his mind and the one thing he knows being music, he's chosen that as his avenue to get his word out.
