This is a mixtape with no industry beats, so it's more like an album. If you like real life music, you are going to love this. It's not trap music and it's not hip-hop, it's a real hybrid of the two and it's definitely worth checking out.
You knew it was coming! The video to Lupe Fiasco's official first single off Tetsuo & Youth"Old School Love" featuring Ed Sheeran. The two linked up yesterday to wrap up the filming and from the looks of the above and a couple more images below, the visual will have an appropriate old school, nostalgic feel. I mean, look at those plastic couches, the Atari joystick, even the "Old School Love" cassette tape. Furthermore, the video is being directed by Coodie & Chike and I can already sense an instant classic "Through The Wire" vibe (C&C's landmark Kanye video). Be on the lookout for the final product sooner than later, and scroll below the images for even more Lupe goodies...
J. Ivy on set with Lupe Fiasco
Bonus Lupe: his two most recent features! First, he linked up with Chicago rapper RondoNumberNine for the "Life of a Savage RMX". This one is a street anthem that channels an energetic Lupe. Second is Lupe on Robert Glasper's new album, Black Radio 2, alongside Snoop Dogg and Luke James (the singer who kills the hook) for one of the album's standout cuts "Persevere". Stream both very solid cuts below, with "Persevere" being my *Tibs Fav. pick of the two with Black Radio 2 a must-buy.

Product of My Environment compares Trell Dope's grind and hustle to his blue collar city of Gary, IN. In the song Trell Dope touches on some of setbacks he has had early in his career, and how he bounced back from them. The Weekend is also sampled in the in the track and Trell Dope flow gives the track an overall smooth but yet hungry sound. I plan to drop this track on October 26th.
