"This it…..I don’t get into nothing to get out. We haven’t set a date, this the one. I said it seven years ago, so for it to come around and happen it was meant to be"
- Future on Ciara
In a new interview with Angie Martinez, Future opens up about a variety of topics, with none more personal than his current relationship with Ciara. Hey, I'm not one to get wrapped up in these sorts of things, but it seems like they got a good thing going and Future's quote above is definitely a great sign.
Also in this interview, Future talks about his working relationship with Drake and Pharrell. And oh yes, I couldn't resist adding "in the future" at the end of the post title. I love all puns, good or bad.
Take a glimpse at the set of the upcomign "I Wanna Be With You" video as Nicki Minaj joins DJ Khaled on set, along with Ciara and Future. At this point, I hope DJ Khaled keeps trolling us and puts in a wedding scene with Nicki in the video. That would be all sorts of hilarious. Anyway, look for the video soon and Suffering From Success on September 24th.
It's the lead single for the debut album of the same name by Future: "Honest", which he describes as a club record. It's not as uptempo as I was thinking it would be as Future just goes from one topic to the next, following it with "I'm just being honest". Now I'm just being honest when I say that I want to get into the autotune stylings of Future, but I just don't find myself resonating with it to a degree where I want to keep multiple listens going. I know club speakers may change that, but it may not. What do you guys think?
Honest, the album, is currently slated for November 26th (formerly called Future Hendrix) — and Future is set to join Drake & Miguel on tour in September.
This week started off with some #Fire for your playlists by plenty of big-names — both figuratively and literally. To make sure you caught all the new releases, here's a quick recap.
Big Sean releases a new song off Hall Of Fame called "Fire" (click here for the CDQ/dirty). This sounds like a fitting intro track and is the one *Tibs Fav. of the bunch.
DJ Khaled's proposal publicity stunt comes full circle with the release of his new single "I Wanna Be With You" featuring the fiance he was fiending for, Nicki Minaj, along with Future & Rick Ross. Ms. Minaj does her thing.
Rick Ross drops a new solo track himself "I Wonder Why", sampling testimonial from Rachel Jeantiel in the Trayvon Martin trial.
And rounding out the fun today was R. Kelly & 2 Chainz, who as you'd might expect, have some fun on this new Kellz single "My Story".
Be sure not to sleep on all of today's new releases and browse our category pages above. As with everyday here on Gowhere, there's plenty of dope new Chicago, independent, and user-submitted music that you may like as much as the big new singles above.
So this is what the proposal was about apparently... lame. But it is DJ Khaled's new star-laden single "I Wanna Be With You" that Nicki shines on with a flow you gotta hand her is pretty dope. Off Suffering From Success, out September 24th.
