Congrats to the hip hop couple: Ciara & Future! It was announced today via the AP and confirmed by their publicist that Future surprised Ciara with a 15-karat diamond ring for her birthday this weekend.
The news shouldn't come as too much of a surprise for those following the couple during their one year of dating. Future even went on Hot97 over the summer with strong words that, "This is the one. I said it before, I said it seven years ago, so for it to come around and happen, it was just meant to be.”
Looks like Mr. Hudson and Miley Cyrus are the two latest singers to join Future for his upcoming album. They shot the video for "Real & True" recently, which looks to have an astronaut theme, and the single will be released at the bottom of the month on October 29th. This might be obvious to longtime readers, but I'm really only lookin forward to Mr. Hudson's cameo on this one.
UPDATE: Fences have been mended. Future and Drake talked out their differences last night and signed some paperwork to bring back Future on the tour, according to ATL's Hot 107. Phew, I don't know if I could have lived in a world where Drake & Future were beefing. No follow-up confirm on if Jhene Aiko will stay on tour as the "replacement"/new addition. I'm hopeful she will be, at least for select dates.
10.15.13: No new friends? Maybe Drizzy is sticking to the mantra after the news today that he's removing Future from his "Would you like a tour?" tour.
According to Page Six, the removal stemmed from Future's comments on NWTS in a since-deleted Billboard story:
‘Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do’
Future is now planning to sue Drake for $1.5 million in lost wages on the tour. But c'mon, Drake seriously didn't have Future removed from the tour because of those comments, right? [insert "Drake the type of dude that..."]
On the plus side, Jhene Aiko is set to replace Future as an opening act for the tour. Great looks for her to join Miguel as the openers.
