Every year, there is a gathering of some of the greatest minds working behind the scenes in the industry known as the New Music Seminar. This notable event was held in NY's Webster Hall this year for 3 days of enlightening discussion on concerns, issues, and hopes affecting the music industry today. Gowhere NY was in attendance to absorb the informative nature of each panels topic, or "movement" which were conducted by many of the leading indivdiduals in the music industry.

On the last day of the event, NMS hosted their first music festival, located in over 17 different venues and featuring over 150 artists. Artists performing included, Travis Porter featuring surprise guest Jim Jones, Ziggy Marley, Riots !n Paris, Futuristic Lingo and many others. We decided to hit Public Assembly in Brooklyn to show love to our favorite ghastly duo, The Doppelgangaz who were performing along with Soul Khan and the Brown Bag AllStars who hopped on stage right after them. Quite the treat to say the least. We caught up with The Doppelgangaz after their performance for a few words and to inform them on how they were mentioned earlier in the day as an example for setting up an effective youtube page by speaker Julie Perry (Vice President Social Media - BLASTmedia, Creator of "YouTube Secret Weapon").

Watch the vid above to see what they had to say about it, and be sure to get your copy of the recently released tape Beats For Brothels Vol. 2 available now on Bandcamp. It's a combination of smooth produced instrumentals and a few tracks with verses from the the two. Listen and/or purchase HERE.

The Doppelgangaz Interview with GowhereNY

Gowhere NY stepped out the other night to check out a few performances at SOBs night club. There was an incredible lineup of artist that went on stage and had the crowd rock'n heavy to the songs they performed. But one particular act was absolutely unbeatable, entertaining and fresh. The "Ghastly Duo" known as The Doppelgangaz came on stage and undoubtedly left an unforgetable impression on the entire crowd. Their humorous antics, raunchy topics, and boundary-less lyrics brings some much needed creative originality  to the rap world.

Matter Ov Fact (height man) and EP (short man) took time after their amazingly outlandish performance to chop it up with us about the show and future endeavors. Dont mind the bald, life-size doll in EP's hand, thats just "Bamber Coles" (it's completely random, but used hilariously in their performances, haha.) They tell us about an album in the works entitled Beats For Brothels, Vol. 2, a continuation to the first project Beats For Brothels, Vol. 1. Also, the two tell us about the Euro tour they are now currently on as of Feb 4th which I'm sure will be nothing short of spectacular. Something else that will definitely catch your attention is the dark ghoulish cloaks they wear that holds a deeper meaning than you'd think. So check out the video above to hear it from The Doppelgangaz themselves, and be sure to click here for a direct link to their latest album Lone Sharks.

Also stay tuned with Gowhere NY for other interviews from that night at SOBs.
