I was waiting for the full version and it doesn't disappoint. While it's bolstered by a verse from DMX that likely reeled you in in the first place, it's Omar Wilson who carries it from the first verse onward.
That's right, DMX sat down with Dr. Phil today. Here's the interview where X talks the recent streaking in Detroit episode, his emotional appearance on “Iyanla”, his children, financial struggles, and more. This week has been great with interviews, huh?
Also, in case you slept on it yesterday, DMX released some new music... new music with Rakim. And it's a *Tibs Fav. Listen/download below.
TMZ ran into DMX this past weekend and asked a few important life questions that only DMX could answer, such as "what were you doing streaking in Detroit" and "how hard is it to put on your socks with the ankle monitor." Some of the answers may surprise you.
However even more than his answers, I was most shocked to hear DMX speak in the exact same voice that he raps with. It's terrifying.
This video comes from a woman on the scene of his second arrest in a month. According to statements by DMX's lawyers and the responsible police department, DMX was in the passenger seat of a car that made an illegal u-turn. After being pulled over, police discovered something like a mobile cannabis dispensary ("several containers of marijuana", his publicist denies this), not to mention X's status as a felon from his last run-in with the cops.
In the video, although not entirely visible, DMX can be heard pleading his case to the woman filming the cops, insinuating the police were profiling him. Whether the charges hold up in court or not, this extra headache is certainly not welcome by DMX amidst his recent financial troubles.
Contrary to popular belief, X is not gon' give it to ya when it comes to child support. Or any of the millions of dollars he owes in debt. Maybe I shouldn't kid - it looks like DMX is having a pretty bad week.
After being arrested for driving under the influence and without a driver's license, DMX has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. According to a story by The Wall Street Journal, DMX claims "less than $50,000 in assets and $1 million to $10 million in debt." Also among the debt is at least $1.24 million in child support. In other words, either his accountant has been asleep at the wheel, or he doesn't have one. I'm gonna guess it's the latter.
Perhaps as a bright spot, his agent released a statement saying he is planning a tour overseas in hopes to recoup some of that massive debt. In the same statement, he cites "Poor financial management by prior representation" as the cause of his troubles. Yeah, I'll say.
