Did XXL save the best cypher for last? Dizzy Wright, Logic, and Angel Haze all do their thing over Jahlil Beats production in the 3rd of 3 cyphers for the annual freshman class (DJ Drama on the 1s & 2s). Dizzy impressed me with some thoughtful rhymes about his come-up and just on this rap alone, he's a little brighter on my radar now. If I haven't already, I'll go on record and say that Logic is my favorite emcee of this freshman class and he definitely saved some of his most hard-hitting bars for this one. The end of his rhymes are my favorite of the video as some clever scientist references lead into the official, in-your-face disclaimer that he's half-white, half-black. See how he delivers it and more, with Angel Haze's intensity continuing the flow nicely for a fitting conclusion.

Lloyd Banks just took to Twitter to announce new mixtapes for 2013. The DJ Drama-presented All Or Nothing series will begin with Failure's No Option, of which the artwork was revealed above too. Expect to see the flood of new Banks sooner rather than later.
Dreamchasers 3 is on the way from Meek Mill, as he looks to break in 2013 with another hotly anticipated mixtape hosted by DJ Drama. No word on the exact release date just yet, but we'll surely get some previews sooner rather than later.
DJ Drama announced earlier today via twitter that Chicago legend DJ Pharris is the new DJ for the Chicago Bulls.
I personally am really excited about this, as a music head I always notice the music playing in the background at Bulls games and its usually something old or just plain bad. DJ Pharris is definitely going to keep everybody rocking at the game. I can't wait to hear what Stacey King has to say in response to the music being played behind him.
According to Hits Daily Double, Miguel is set to debut at #3 on the Billboard 200 as his first week album sales will be coming in around 69K. The other relevant new release in hip hop/R&B this past week came from DJ Drama, who only pushed 19K, good for the #21 spot. Did you buy any of the these albums?
