Diplo put together quite a crew of rappers for this new track off of his new EP Revolution. "Rock Steady" features Action Bronson, Riff Raff, Mr. MFN eXquire and Nicky Da B. That new EP can be purchased here on iTunes.
Here's a fresh collab off the upcoming soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as Sia links up with The Weeknd & Diplo. Really like Sia's vocals, which are then contrasted by Weeknd. The ending is the track's climax too, which works really well. Give it a listen!
2 Chainz' upcoming album, B.O.A.T.S. 2: Me Time is now available for pre-order and it came with the release of this new track with Fergie called "Netflix". I don't know about you, but I couldn't get past the chorus on this one. I'll let Chainz take it away, but you'll either love it or not.
For Diplo's next single, he enlists Mike Posner and Boaz Van De Beatz (what a name!) on an addicting electro/pop/dance track that could resonate with the right chord if in the mood. I'm a Posner fan so I was tuned in and was diggin' the lyrics on the chorus and the vocals sound good over this production. Well worth a listen, ladies and gents.
In what I long expected for some months now since the kick off of her Mrs. Carter World Tour. Beyoncé has scrapped her album. While chatting it up with The Sun, producer Diplo confirmed the obvious… Beyoncé scrapped her album. Diplo was asked about her project and stated “I just did two songs for her new album, well, I tried,” and then saying, “I think she scrapped the record.”
“The album was suppose to be done and they been hitting me up for band new ideas.” Diplo also said, “I like to work from scratch, but sometimes I get called in to fix records.” Also contributing to the claims Beyoncé scrapping her album is one of its songwriters on the project, Ne-Yo. After speaking with Billboard Ne-Yo stared that “They’re still trying to figure out what they want that to be, which I’m not mad at. Beyoncé’s the kind of artist where you’re not gonna see till its right. And her fans – they love her so they’ll be patient.”
So with all that being said although Beyoncé pulled the plug on the original album, which should have been released MONTHS ago… It’s fine. It’s been a few months and if you can remember Beyoncé was recently in the studio with Travis Scott and he commented on listening to her new album, which he is also been rumored to contribute to. Beyoncé has ushered in a few new producer to work her album. So with how many months it been she could very well be near finished with the new album.
I’m actually glad Beyoncé went back in to rework her album, because topping her previously album, 4 is a must! I love “Grown Woman,”“Bow Down/I Been On,” and “Standing On The Sun,” but I didn’t feel any of those were strong enough 1st singles for her to launch a whole new era with. A single with the magnitude of “Single Ladies” is what Beyoncé needs and I think she knows that, which explains her going back to make sure her album is perfect. So props to her for not wanting to release just anything. Quality work takes time and I’m willing (I don’t have a choice) to wait. I can see her dropping 3rd or 4th quarter of this year. BTW don't be surpirse if none of the songs I mentioned above doesn't make the new album.
