An Interpretive Dance For My Boss Set To Kanye West's Gone
Yes, that"Gone" — the Late Registration standout and one of Kanye's most ear-catching verses to the casual fan (the Anakin/Jennifer Aniston line will do it).
So why is this gem from '05 hitting the Billboard charts today? At #18, nonetheless?
Well, it's because of a new viral video: a creative, minute and a half closed-caption f**k you bossman piece — all set to "Gone".
The video, a gem in of itself, grew popular because everyone dreams of telling off their boss and quitting in an extravagant matter like this. This woman did just that, while dancing around the office, and set it to one of Kanye's best songs. I'm sure he, Cam, and Cons are all thanking her today — and given 'Ye's ability to laugh at himself, on display at times during last night's interview with Kimmel, I'm sure he's also having a laugh at the video above.
Long time no see, old duo Consequence and Ye on a track again. Not exactly something new because Kanye's verse is the same as the original, but Cons decided to put his take on Ye's hit "Black Skinhead". Could this be a prelude to more music from the two lyricists? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Consequence is ready to continue the Movies On Demand series with the fourth installment due for release next week, January 16th. Today, he reveals the cover and tracklist - the latter of which, in addition to boasting the already released Estelle collab "When I Woke Up", shows new features from the likes of John Legend and Busta Rhymes. I'll always lend an ear to Cons' new music. He's always been one of the most underrated lyricists, no matter how you felt about the fall out with G.O.O.D.
