DJ Reflex is prepping his debut EP and his first preview is this fun single featuring new verses from Childish Gambino "Body So Tight". The ladies are clearly the subject at hand as Gambino's solid rhymes are mixed in with an 808 trap beat for a pretty fresh listen.
Could "Favorite Song" end up being my favorite song off #AcidRap? The Childish Gambino feature appealed to me to check this one out first and it's a quirky *Tibs Fav. off the bat. Good to hear these one-time tourmates on the same track together, check this one out as a preview before downloading the full tape here.
The big moves for Donald Glover, a.k.a. Childish Gambino, continue to pile up as the multi-talented actor, writer, and musician is about to start work on a new show for NBC with 30 Rock's co-executive producer Matt Hubbard.
TV Guide is reporting that "The new sitcom is being developed as a starring vehicle for Glover. NBC is said to be committed to the project, and is close to sealing a deal for a put pilot (with a large penalty fee if it doesn't move forward) for the show, which would be loosely based on Glover's life."
With everything going on in Glover's life, especially as his rap career continues to reach new heights on the heels of his first VMA nomination last week, I'm pretty sure a show surrounding his life would be quite entertaining (and most certainly hilarious). The report also adds that this new sitcom won't affect Community, whose fourth and final season begins October 19th. Congrats Donald! I feel a GIF right now would be rather appropriate...

Trouble is brewing. Any day now we'll hear a unique collab between Leona Lewis and Childish Gambino for the former's upcoming album, Glassheart. Leona has always been a "I'm good if you're good" artist for me (you know what I mean? hah!) so I've always liked some of her singles. I look forward to how her style will contrast with Gambino's, whose rhymes should make for a natural fit given the premise of "Trouble" below. On a scale of 1-10, how much are you looking forward to this collab?
"'Trouble' tells the story of love going bad and becoming destructive, aspects of which we can all relate to. It's a deeply emotional song that I have a real connection to. I wanted someone who was creative and poetic and witty and Childish ticks all those boxes and complements the record perfectly."
