Apparently Paris Hilton signing to Cash Money back in May was no joke. The singer is preparing for the release of her first single with the label, entitled "Good Time," which features Lil Wayne. In an interview with MTV, Hilton let it be known that this upcoming release is only the beginning of her plans to break back into the music industry.
"Music has always been a big passion of mine, but I've just been so busy with everything else. But I've recorded some incredible songs, EDM-influenced, electro-pop, and working with very talented producers," said Hilton. "I'm excited to be signed with Cash Money...working with Birdman and Slim, they're amazing guys, and I'm really happy to be a part of the Cash Money family."
The Cash Money-Hilton alliance appears to be in full effect, which is a little bit terrifying. The video for "Good Time,"set to drop October 8th, doesn't seem to be nearly as appalling as anything Miley Cyrus has put out lately. Check out the teaser below:
It has been a while since we had gotten a complete project from Lil Wayne but today that is put to an end with the release of Dedication 5, a 29 track mixtape. Yes, you read that right. It is 29 songs from which some are remixes and some are original tracks including a track featuring Chicago emcee Chance The Rapper. The features in the tape include The Weeknd, Chance The Rapper, T.I., 2Chainz, Vado, Future and several YMCMB artists. It's a lot of tracks to digest so kick back and enjoy!

Let's begin this morning on a wacky note to continue the wackiness that was last night. Meaning that you may have noticed the site was down last night. Our server was temporarily down last night and as a result, we were inactive with the night's new music updates. We should be back up and running and so here's a quick rundown of what we missed!
First off, let's start with the wonderful couple above. I don't mean that romantically, but I do mean it in a business sense as Paris Hilton has signed a deal with Cash Money to release her second album. First off, WUT? Secondly, she has a first album? Third, ugh. I think I'll just move on.
Two big releases for May 21st with the more universal Daft PunkRandom Access Memories and French Montana's debut album Excuse My French. The first-week projections are in: Daft Punk slated for 300-325K and French with 45-50K. Solid numbers for Daft Punk. I think people may have expected more for French, but that sounds about right to me. (via HDD)
Geno Smith, rookie QB for the New York Jets, has signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports.
