If you have a half an hour to let this run today, here's a nice new interview that goes a little deeper with Childish Gambino. That is to be expected with The Breakfast Club curating the conversation around his upcoming new album, Because The Internet and leaving Community and his acting/stand-up history and endeavors. The interview has some depth to it with Gambino explaining why he isn't a "rapper", why he doesn't want to make albums (I liked this) and why he's the "son of Kanye". He supports 'Ye's recent interviews and I support that parallel — Ye and Gambino are two of the most honest out (if not, the two most). Other topics include: Gambino perceiving a sneak diss from Lupe that caused the Twitter back and forth, more on the realness behind the Instagram notes, and a little bit on his upcoming show on FX and some TV politics. Great interview to put the icing on the cake of a new track from Gambino — "Worldstar" — linked below.

While on the show Mr. Carter shared his views on the digital age of music, Kanye West’sYeezus, staying current and in touch, fatherhood, Lil Wayne, and past feud with Nas. Jay also talked about the high placement he gives Magna Carta Holy Grail compared to his past releases.
As you know Magna Carta Holy Grail is certified platinum and is expected to debut at number 1 on Billboard 200 next week.
