Top Five R&B Holiday Songs

So I was doing some updates and I saw Srirchana’s Top Five Hip-Hop Holiday Songs, and thought to myself the world needs a rundown on some of R&B’s greatest holiday songs. So here is just a small list of some of R&B’s take on the holiday season.

So are you guys really suspired I started off with Mariah? Lord knows I love Mariah Carey and this week the diva’s "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is currently #25 this week on Billboard Hot 100! 18 years later and Mariah is still breaking records!

Destiny's Child "8 Days Of Christmas"

I love Destiny’s Child and this song still knocks! Funny thing about this song is the lyrics, which is so ratchet if you pay attention to what they’re asking for.

Boyz II Men "Let It Snow"

Gosh do you not melt when you hear this? Boyz II Men had hits for days!

Donny Hathaway "This Christmas"

I’m sorry but if your parents never played you this during childhood then you haven’t lived. This is such a classic and Donny Hathaway was just so talented!

Jackson 5 "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town"

I loved this song growing up! That and my mother forced it on be since she was a huge Michael Jackson fan. Well I hope you guys enjoyed these. I wanted to share more but had to keep the number limited. Hope everyone has a great holiday and be safe!

Aaron Rodgers Loses Bet With Boyz II Men, Will Wear 49ers Jersey for it...

As if losing the season opener at home isn't bad enough, star QB, Aaron Rodgers, must now wear a 49ers jersey throughout the week. Accoring to TMZ, Aaron Rodgers asked Boyz II Men to sing the National Anthem, and in reply Nathan Morris made a friendly bet in which Rodgers couldn't refuse. If the Packers lost the game, Rodgers would have to rock the niners jersey all week, and if Frisco lost the game, Morris would have to wear a Packers jersey. Fair? I think not. But Rodgers must've been pretty confident prior to this week's kickoff.

However, the only thing that goes in favor for Rodgers is that he faces our Chicago Bears this Thursday night, meaning a short prep week for Rodgers in that Niners jersey.

Boyz II Men Interview with Gowhere NY at OpenSky Presents Perez Hilton's "One Ni...

There is nothing more satisfying than seeing great music used for a great cause. So when Gowhere NY heard that the 'Queen of Media', Perez Hilton was throwing a concert in NYC at the Hammerstein Ballroom, we were all over it. Aligned with Spirit Day, 100% of the ticket sale proceeds went to the GLSEN (the Gay Lesbian & Straight Education Network), an organization for students, parents and teachers focused on ensuring a safe environment in schools. The ballroom was packed with a lively crowd, eager to see what and who Perez had in store. Alot of big names were handpicked by Perez to show love on the red carpet and perform on stage for this epic night. The party jumped off when DJ Pauly D took the stage and had the crowd fist pumping to his dance-worthy playlist. It's safe to say the best singing performances were saved for last when Boyz II Men took the stage, followed by Mary J. Blige for the grand finale. Both acts were amazing as the crowd naturally sang along to the classics and closely tuned in to some new material.

Above is a brief interview with Boyz II Men sharing some details on their new album, Twenty (available now everywhere), their non profit organization "The Boyz II Men House", and some advice for upcoming R&B singers trying to make it in the game today. So check it out and see what the Boyz had to say for yourself. Special thanks to LFB Media Group for inviting us to the event and shoutout to the sponsors: OpenSky, Music Choice’s SWRV TV, Brita FilterForGood Music Project, SOUL by Ludacris, popchips, ZICO: Pure Coconut Water, TY KU, UV Vodka, Asahi Beer, and BlogAds.
