When Pusha T stirred the pot with some direct shots at Lil Wayne & Birdman, it was because of some lines spit in a snippet of this song to come off Luda's upcoming album.
Here is the full version, although tagged, and Pusha T goes at Wayne & Birdman in his entire verse. Pretty well-executed. Luda also sends some shots, but the target is much less obvious (and not known).
Overall, people will probably draw motivation from this one that focuses on the haters, but I don't really vibe with that too much personally. Definitely a curious listen though to hear what Pusha has to say about Young Money...
I don't know much about the Stafford Brothers, except that I'm guessing Quarterback, Matthew doesn't partake in the EDM (and rather partakes in being inconsistent all year and plaguing my*TIBS FAVS. fantasy football team).
But that's neither here nor there. The big news is that YMCMB is diving into the boom of EDM with this signing - perhaps a sign of things to come for the crossover of hip hop and EDM in general?
The Austrailian DJ/producer duo's first single is said to feature Lil Wayne & Christina Milian, entitled "Hello". Here are some words from Birdman himself:
“The Stafford Brothers blew me away with their energy, superb production skills and strong remixes,” says Bryan “Birdman” Williams, who co-founded Cash Money Records alongside his brother, Ronald “Slim” Williams. “Their music may have a party vibe, but that didn’t fool Slim and I. With their ownership of nightclubs, their own reality television show, international tours and dedication to their craft, we knew the Stafford Brothers were serious and would fit right in with the hardworking YMCMB family.”
Earlier in the year, it was "Exodus 23:1," then it was his verse in "New God Flow," and now G.O.O.D. Music signee, Pusha T is at it again. In a recently leaked snippet of a new Ludacris track,"Tell Me What They Mad For," off of his new album, "Ludaversal," Pusha took some jabs at Lil Wayne and Birdman.
In a recent interview, he described that he has no personal beef with Young Money, explaining that he simply rides for his team, and will defend them til the end. But listening to what he had to say in the new Luda track, he seems to have gotten pretty personal. He never overtly mentions Wayne's name, but it's pretty clear who he's talking about. Here's what he had to say:
"With your baby mama f****in every rapper in the business
N****s saying you was better when the drugs was in your system
Now your crack swag gone ever since u came from prison
Got you tweeting all stupid, is you skatin’, is you dissin’
Found out your ghost leased and your phantom just rented
Won’t leave it in your name like Pac when he went missing
Makaveli lives on so I’m riding on you b*****s"
Am I the only one who thinks this beef is getting kind of old? Anyways, be on the lookout for "Ludaversal" to drop soon.
