Tonight is the Billboard Music Awards and Miguel gets the lead with his performance of the amazing "Adorn", which will unintentionally (and hilariously) stand out for his flying leg drop that hit two fans. This clip was made for Vine.
Fortunately, she's ok — holding merely an ice pack in a backstage interview with Miguel after the performance (which was one of his most creative ones yet for "Adorn", oh by the way).
And per usual: the interwebs get the W in near-record time...
Down below: everyone wishes they were Lil Wayne tonight. He even says it himself as he's "the luckiest guy in the world right now" after a performance with Nicki Minaj for "High School" turned into a lap dance with Nicki Minaj.

Also, Chris Brown expectedly channels his MJ for a song and dance performance of "Fine China"; really diggin' this one — the dance moves are crazy, the guitarist brought the chords to another level, and the stage fighting tied back into the music video and was well-executed here. Real nice ending to this performance (although I should add his singing was off-key at times, which can partly be attributed to all the dancing).
Lastly, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis take the stage for "Thrift Shop", and Bruno Mars and his ensemble don some red Michael Jackson jackets for "Treasure". Enjoy!

More performers included Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Pitbull & Christina Aguilera. For those videos and more, head on over to Yardie's spot.
Stylish and classy is the new cover for Billboard Mag with living legend Prince donning the throwback aesthetic of the presentation. He'll be receiving the Icon Award at this year's Billboard Music Awards on May 19th, when he will also perform live. Hopefully more Prince news (and of course, music) in between now and then.
It’s the holiday time and Mariah Carey is the reason for the season! Mariah aka Slayriah as I like to call her made headlines this week. Mariah Carey’s mega holiday anthem "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has made its return to Billboard Hot 100. Although Bruno Mars"Locked Out Of Heaven" is the #1 song in the country right now on the Hot 100, it is Carey who’s "All I Want For Christmas Is You" that deserves a big round of applause.
This week Mariah Carey re-enters the Billboard Hot 100 at the #29 spot. So why is this so amazing for you younger folks? Well because this song originally came out about 18 years ago. Thanks to Billboards new guidelines, which states that any song that has accumulated enough radio airplay, digital downloads sales, and online streams top crack the top 50 of the Hot 100 is permitted to chart again. The only other person to benefit from this new rule was Whitney Houston’s"I Will Always Love You" that re-entered at the #3 spot on the Hot 100, following her unfortunate death in February.
So seat back and relax and enjoy this Christmas classic from the remarkable talented Mariah Carey
A big congratulation is in order for Alicia Keys who’s been working so hard over the past few months promoting her hew album, Girl On Fire. HDD is reporting that Keys will in fact have secure the number 1 spot next week on Billboard 200 with sales between 150k to 175k units. Although this is a major decrease in sales compared to Keys last album The Element Of Freedom, which sold 417k its first week its still good considering its an R&B album. If you haven’t already make sure you go out and support Girl On Fire, which is in stores today!
T.I. covers the upcoming issue of Billboard Mag with the quote, "People keep expecting me to fail. I'm going to continue to be huge."
What do you all think? Trouble Man drops on December 18th (and you can preview the artwork and tracklist here) so will this album mark a comeback for T.I. or will he fade into the sunset?
A double dose of new magazine covers featuring Rihanna on the new Billboard (not the ideal time to follow up that GQ cover though, huh?) and Miguel on FADER. Any thoughts on the covers? 'The World Is Hers'? Myself personally, I'm not vibing with the blurry photo, the photo itself, and the typography across Ri-Ri.
Exit polls aren't the only projections today! Meek Mill's debut album, Dreams & Nightmares, is slated to sell 167K in its first week, according to HDD, which is good for the #2 spot (behind Taylor Swift). In related news, Kendrick Lamar's second week on the charts sees him at 59K sold for good kid, m.a.a.d. city. Thoughts on the numbers?!
The official numbers are in: Kendrick Lamar debuts at #2 on the Billboard 200 with a whopping 242K sold in its debut week, trailing only Taylor Swift because she apparently rules the universe. 1.2 million copies sold for her album of which the title is escaping me right now. #IDontListenToCountry #YeShrug
Congrats, K. Dot. Great numbers for him and the genre of hip hop. Be sure to celebrate with Kendrick by download his new track he recorded last night with J.Cole and dropped just an hour ago: "The Jig Is Up (Dump'n)". And Shyne, you may want to duck and cover when you listen to this one.
This week's chart news predicts that Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will appear at #2 and Machine Gun Kelly#4 on the Billboard 200 as their new albums (The Heist // Lace Up) raked in 74K and 50K sales respectively. I'd say those are pretty solid debut numbers, while also being reminded that the album sales numbers as a whole just continue to plummet.
