On this cover of the Christopher Cross 80s hit, Robin Thicke does all the heavy lifting and Ron Burgundy chimes in with a flurry of ad-libs and an outro that will have you cracking up while you search for the rewind button. Here's more funny music crossover moments for today.
In the ongoing press run for Anchorman 2, Will Ferrell touches on the hip hop community's love for the movie. In fact, I'm pretty sure communities of all kinds love Anchorman, but Will is specifically marveled at how the characters and lines have been referenced in rap songs for the past decade. That should only continue after the release of the second movie on December 18th.
Ferrell also laughably brings up "N words in Paris" so stay tuned through to the end of this quick 2 minute clip for that.
The cameos they talk about as well (apparently there are a ton in one scene) will also feature Drake & Kanye, in case you forgot.
As if we needed more reasons to love Charles Barkley, it turns out he knows all the words to Kanye's iconic verse to "N****s In Paris" (as did the House of Blues: Chicago crowd that I captured last week at Lupe's Tetsuo & Youth Preview Tour).
Enjoy this quick video of the Auburn alum going gorillas over his team's thrilling victory over Alabama! (h/t Deadspin)
And since you're here for the funny moment, also enjoy a little "Afternoon Delight" as the Anchorman cast put on quite a fantastic impromptu performance for what I'm hoping is the funniest movie all year December 18th.
All-new scenes in the all-new 2:30 trailer above. No previews yet of Kanye & Drake's cameos, but they're not needed to laugh hysterically for the next two and a half minutes. It will certainly be a Merry Christmas.
Ed Helms and Kristen Wiig's roles, and the plot as a whole, are now revealed. And before I start rambling about how excited I am, I'll shut up so you can just press play and kick off your day with a few laughs. 1 more reason why Christmas will be awesome this year!
And with this photo, it's confirmed that Drake is now joining the star-studded cast of Anchorman 2, specifically the superstar rapper cameo list with Kanye West. This gets me to thinkin... who else from the hip hop world may don a 70s afro and trade lines with the likes of Will Ferrell and Steve Carell. This was captured while the movie was filming in NYC, via the NY Daily News. Hah! This flick is gonna be somethin else...
UPDATE: The new trailer for Anchorman 2 also dropped today. Hilarious (but that goes without saying).
Kanye West dons a wig and uses a hockey stick in Anchorman 2
Some hilarious new pics on the set of Anchorman 2 surfaced this weekend, just days after it was leaked that 'Ye was prime to make a cameo. They showcase a wigged-out Kanye West welding a hockey stick on (it looks like) Steve Carrell. Hah! Another action shot below, 'Ye with the star himself, and one more fun catch of 'Ye outside his trailer. And I thought I couldn't wait for Anchorman 2 any more... haha!
Kanye... How could you be so heartless?!
Will Ferrell: "Sorry Aubrey Plaza, but your award speech interruption was the GREATEST AWARD SPEECH INTERRUPTION OF ALL TIME!"
This is a combination I already know I'm going to like. Kanye x Anchorman 2. The latter's original is one of my top 3 favorite comedies and Kanye is... Kanye. The news today outta the ATL is that 'Ye was on set for filming for the movie set to release in December, via Hollywood.com:
West was apparently filming in Atlanta alongside Christina Applegate and Paul Rudd while on a rooftop. Their "source" says he was "quite afraid of heights and required an umbrella for shade most of the time he was on the roof."
No matter if he plays himself, or a ridiculous friend or enemy of the Channel 4 News team, it's going to be the GREATEST CAMEO OF ALL-TIME! (or at least up there with Will Ferrell in Wedding Crashers)
Couldn't pass up this piece of movie news tonight: Anchorman 2 is a year away from release, officially getting a December 20th, 2013 date. If you missed out on the teaser trailer, simply press play above and be sure you're in an environment where laughing out loud is acceptable.
