"The Loud Live Series" took place at Leaders 1354 last week in Chicago and the jam-packed boutique was treated to performances from Chance The Rapper, eGo, the Save Money Crew with Joey Purps, Kami de Chukwu, Thelonious (who was celebrating his birthday), Lili K and Peter Cottontail, Caleb James, and a DJ set by the Nordjs (Tima Fei and Ivan Cirkovic). Plus, the event was hosted by Add-2 and the people in attendance received a free, exclusive LDRS x SAE tee, and the Loud Chicago Sounds compilation album. Add-2 is not only back with a new track, but also back working with hometown producer Slot-A on the fittingly titled "The Reunion". It's just been awhile is all, and hopefully the next time they work together won't have as long of a gap in between. Because both do their parts in cranking out a dope rap track for your rotation. Slot-A provides a soulful beat that doesn't sound that soothing since Add comes in with a high intensity that doesn't dip for the whole track. It works, as Add drops a lot of MF bombs in the beginning and then drops some intellectual, and often times, humorous one-liners. For example: "Been spitting ill since 50 was spitting many men, I'm tryna find a bra that could fit Ross' t*tties in". Hah! I chuckled.
