Chicago emcee and newly inked Jamla Records artist links with his new labelmate, producer Khrysis, for this 9-track collab EP filled with soulful tunes, catchy rhymes, and the thought-provoking messages that I gravitate towards the most in hip hop. I can't wait to sit with this all week and beyond. I'd suggest you press play on this trailer and then proceed to the mixtape. It not only sets the mood but really teases just how strong and quality the project is.
If you're in Chicago as well, be sure to come through to The Shrine tomorrow night and see Add-2 perform along with all of Jamla Records: Rapsody, Khrysis, and of course, 9th Wonder.
Ever imagined if a club was a church instead? That's what Add-2 pictures and portrays right off the bat in his newest collab with Khrysis, and preview of his Jamla Records debut project with Khrysis called Between Heaven and Hell. "Club Church" is a creative, image-evoking record that reminds me a lil of Lupe's "All Black Everything". Love the imagination here and it's always nice to hear somethin' fresh from the talented Chicago lyricist.
Easy *Tibs Fav. with Between Heaven and Hell assuredly featuring more when it drops in full this Thursday.

Last month a beloved member of the Chicago fashion and hip hop scene, Johnny Bravado passed away. This Sunday is a tribute concert featuring many talented local artists that all consider him a friend. Join us for a free Sunday evening of funky performances as we honor Johnny Bravado! R.I.P.
A stellar new track from Add-2 as he releases the first single off his upcoming Jamla Records debut Between Heaven and Hell.
That's right, Add-2 announced his signing to 9th Wonder's label today!
The track possesses a soulful backdrop that Add is no stranger too. It's an instant feel-good mood shifter from Khrysis and Add matches it with some witty wordplay and alliteration while spittin' some substance as well.
The Chicago rhymer has taken the next step in his career in the past year, plus, and is also someone that caught our ear here on Gowhere since we started. It's been amazing to see the growth in his content and videos from then til now, and now I'm excited for his increased opportunities to keep it going with the new deal.
We were chillin with Add last night in fact at the Canon #CitySenses event with Common (our IG tells the tale so far, with a video coming soon!) and I got the lowdown from Add himself on his label situation. So this doesn't come as a surprise after hearing the stories of him and 9th last week in North Carolina.
While out there, Add also started and completed a new collab project with Khrysis entitled Between Heaven and Hell, and to celebrate his arrival to Jamla, he lets go of the project's first single "Don't Go".
If you need further evidence on why Add got the deal, and also why I'm serious when I captioned what's below, then listen to "Don't Go". The wordplay is sick ("soul searching like I'm shoe shopping", for example) and the soulful backdrop is so feel-good. An instant *Tibs Fav.

After being featured in the XXL's The Break our homie Add-2 gives us this new track "New Black Order". There are a lot of thought provoking lyrics on this track that'll surely make you listen to it a few times.
Here's a little somethin' different from Add-2. He showcases his verstaility over this intense, electro production from MdotforMayor & DJ Spintelect. I love the flows, even how Add switches it up from one end of the spectrum to the other. Keep in tune all the way through.
