Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Royce Da 5′9″ are comin’ full force with their 1st single called “The One” off their self-titled debut album. It’s an addicting hit with a rockish feel and punchlines aplenty. There’s more than a handful of clever name-drops but Budden takes the cake with the line, “Me, I’m more mellow, so I’m lookin’ for a La La” in reference to the power couple of NBA star Carmelo Anthony and former MTV VJ, La La Vasquez. The hook gives off immediate staying power with the verses giving off long-lasting staying power. Overall, it’s a great hip hop track that’ll appeal 2 most everybody. (Shouts 2 Shake on the premiere) Enjoy!

More Tibs thoughts: I’ve been able 2 give the video a couple viewings since and it’s great 2 see Eminem show some hometown pride 2 Detroit. It’s well-chronicled that Detroit is in dire straits since it flourished as the country’s biggest manufacturing city so it’s refreshing to see Em reach back 2 his hometown. Unrelated: I don’t know why the video keeps skipping?!

The Five One “LA Girl”

The Five One is back with a brand NEW RMX, combining Weezer’s famous hit “Island In The Sun” with some “RoboCop” flavor from Kanye West 2 form yet another unique track called “LA Girl”. The group borrows some lines straight from “RoboCop” - a safe assumption as 2 which lines exactly given the track title and continues 2 put their own spin throughout. Definitely one that hip hop and rock fans should take a listen 2.
