I think that Trey is on point with his statement. He is an aeuitnthc artist and I don't see him compromising his craft in order to crossover. I love Usher but all those singles you named (Nice & Slow, You make me wanna, and all the songs from Confessions) are 10x better than the ish he is releasing now he compromised his music in order to stay relevant and so has Chris (Forever, Yeah 3x) and Ne-yo (One in a million, Tonight) Trey is one of the few young male R&B artists left that actually sing R&B music. The only thing that makes me mad is that his sex symbol image takes away from the realness of the music sex sells though and that's why Invented Sex did so well but Yo Side of the Bed barely made a dent on the charts people complain about everything being overtly sexual and having no meaning in the lyrics but fail to support the music that stays true to real R&B Trey is confident and I feel that his slow rise to fame has made him a better artist overall can't wait to see what else he has in store!
