RL Grime
January's S.W.A.G. (Shows Worth A Go) includes R.L.Grime, Meek Mill, and Method Man.
RL Grime
In the world of EDM, few have created a sound so forward as RL Grime. With roots in Electro House music, the 20 year old DJ/producer has more recently focused on creating his own sound centered around mixing his passion for electronic music with the drum and bass elements of hip-hop. Similar to artists like Flosstradamus and Luminox, RL Grime is leading the future bass / trap movement in EDM. "Strictly for the traps and trunks!" RL Grime will be at Chicago's Mid, Friday January 18th... GO!

Meek Mill
Meek Mill
In early 2012, MTV named Meek Mill the 7th Hottest MC in the game, following the hype from his mixtape Dreamchasers, and it's well received track "House Party." And later in the year The Maybach Music Group dropped Meek's debut album Dreams and Nightmares. With hits like "Young & Gettin' It" featuring Kirko Bangz and "Amen" featuring Drake, the album took hold of radio stations across the country, peaking at #1 on US Billboard's Top 100 Rap Albums. Currently on probation, his world tour was delayed but select dates have been rescheduled. Meek Mill will be at Chicago's Congress Theater, Saturday January 19th... GO!

Method Man
Method Man
Wordsmif and platinum recording artist Method Man has done something not many artists have been able to do, conquering the mainstream while retaining his underground style. As the youngest member of Wu-Tang, and Biggie's only guest feature on his debut Ready to Die, the man has become a legend, having moved over one million records not only with his collaborations with Redman and Wu-Tang, but as a solo artist as well - a rare trifecta. His raw, gritty sound (if you live under a rock and are unfamiliar) is balanced by a smooth flow, reflecting a confident, lyrically minded emcee. Method Man will be at Chicago's Double Door, Friday January 25th... GO!
