It's a great day for Kids These Days as their upcoming album, Traphouse Rock, is getting the big, exclusive push from RollingStone today. You can listen to the full album before it comes out tomorrow here. About to dive into it myself this afternoon as at the very least, I've always rocked with the live instrumentation juxtaposed with Vic Mensa's fast, slick rhymes. Sounds up my alley once again thus far. Check out this Chicago collective!
EDIT: Traphouse Rock begins its domination of my rotation. I particularly gravitated towards samples of Nirvana and "You're All I Need To Get By", maybe my favorite song featuring female vocals ever, and making "Don't Fall In Love" my favorite track if I had to choose one on early impressions. It's not just one track though, the entire project does not have a misstep and you can rock with the cohesive mix of alternative, live instrumentation, and hip hop from beginning to end. You can now download the tape in full here.
