I apologize for another slight delay in posts, but I got my own life 2 take care of :-P.. Anyway, the much talked about “Paris, Tokyo RMX” f/ Pharrell, Q-Tip, & Sarah Green was finally released 2day and it surely matches the hype! I love Q-Tip’s verse, Sarah Green shoulda been on the original as her singing (and even rapping) enhances it greatly, at first I didn’t like Pharrell’s verse, but on 2nd listen I think I do, and of course Lupe himself brings a real fresh, brand new verse. There’s also a real smooth, bonus live jazz mix above for DL as well! Down below, some new-age R&B for ya ears, starting off w/ my boy Trey Songz who jumps over the soulful chorus of “Misunderstood” used in many songs recently. I’ve always loved the lyrics and soulful voice of that chorus. Songz sounds brilliant on the beat that compliments both the chours and Songz’ voice. You can peep the rest of the goodies below and make sure to check out the “Love Hangover” video premiere by Kidz In The Hall & Estelle, one of my favorite trax from The In Crowd! Enjoy!
FULL, CDQ, Rumored track off upcoming, self-titled album *Tibs Fav.™
Some NEW R&B trax for ya ears with the feature coming from Ryan Leslie above! It sounds similar 2 the original “Diamond Girl”, with that same scratchy, yet catchy beat which makes for a pretty unique song that I’m feelin. I would think that by seeing Chris Brown & Bryan-Michael Cox 2gether that it would be an automatic *Tibs Fav.™ but there’s just 2 much going on in the chorus that it’s hard 2 follow, I’m not feelin’ the B. Cox joint like I usually do, and it just sounds overall a lil corny and formulaic for me. Maybe it’ll grow on me, who knows, but on first listens, I couldn’t get into it. (Shouts 2 our aff. Urban Music for those exclusives..) Some other solid trax u can peep below, but also the behind the scenes look at CRS’ first video for the “Everyone Nose RMX”! I’m psyched, can definitely see that record takin’ off. Quite frankly, the excitement level for upcoming CRS songs and videos is on par with my excitement for Derrick Rose on the hometown Bulls, which as u may know already, is thru the roof! Anyway, enjoy!
Producer: Cool & Dre & The Game - FULL, CDQ, Track off upcoming album, Untitled, in stores 07.15 *Tibs Fav.™
Aite, so Nas’ upcoming album, Untitled, has been leaked by now and tons of trax have been available everywhere, in addition 2 the ones that have appeared on GWHH. If u want the whole album, I’m sure u can browse our affiliates and find it, but since we don’t post full albums on GWHH and try 2 limit the amount of trax also, I figured I would just post 1 more goodie for ya’ll that wanna sample or wait til 07.15… and it’s Nas’ unique collaboration with The Game & Chris Brown! It may sound surprising, but it’s a very quality track with Nas & The Game ripping over a ridiculous Cool & Dre beat, with CB enhancing the track throughout (listen and you’ll see what I mean..). Def a MUST-DL and I can see the track blowin’ up as a 2nd single with the appealing names and production involved. Below, we’re playing catch-up with 16 trax total from the past few days (since we let the Kidz In The Hall interview and Mr. Music get the well-deserved, extended spotlight) featuring a ton of big names. A few thoughts… Usher track is RIDICULOUS… pretty sure that’s a snippet but it’s a 2:51 long snippet, if that, and it’s HOT! Also, u may notice the same song by Lloyd and Sterling Simms, and well, that’s cuz it is… it’s just a different singer for each version. The early edge goes 2 Sterling IMO, but I’ll need a few more listens. Other than that, u can peep my favs below and I’m sure u’ll find somethin’ u like, in addition 2 the video premiere of Lil’ Wayne’s “A Milli”! Enjoy!
And in some bad news, fellow blogger gowhere? cannot access GWHH where he is staying in China because he’s in a restricted area or something like that. So unfortunately, it looks like we won’t be getting the unique posts from gowhere? until mid-August when he’s finally back in the States. But u kno Max G. & myself will be holdin’ it down for ya!
12:10PM - Just upped “Swing Your Rag” by T.I., produced by Swizz Beatz (formerly known as “Louis Rag”). It’s the clean version, but the previous version was littered w/ shout outs. Def update ur iTunes w/ this one below. Shouts 2 Z for sending this thru!
Slow Sunday for some hot trax, but I saw this unofficial compilation of a ton of artists over “Flashing Lights” featuring old verses from all of the above (For ex: Lupe & Santos’ “Superstar” is over the “Flashing Lights” beat.) Nonetheless, it makes for a nice listen if u can’t get enough of “Flashing Lights” (which I can’t, haha.) Down below are some big names like The Game, Akon, Pharrell, but I’m not really feelin’ any of those trax. No bigger names tho than USHER & MICHAEL JACKSON, who are apparently collaborating (with T-Pain tho… ugh) and the snippet is out on their song. We’ll see how the full version turns out but so far it sounds pretty sick! The song is credited w/ the artists listed below and shouted out by T-Pain on the track, but again, we’ll see when the full version leaks! Enjoy!
Producer: Teddy Riley - FULL, Limited DJ *Tibs Fav.
It was a tough decision on which track 2 make the feature track but since the fly Casely cover was up yesterday I went with a different up and coming R&B crooner in Billy Cook (from Chamillionaire’s “Rain”)! I’m really likin’ both beats especially of the Cook and Casely trax and pretty soon I’ll be singing along as well, haha! Also check out the latest from Uness & Ryan Leslie as well as Lil’ Wayne on a track that might be on his upcoming, highly anticipated Tha Carter III. I don’t particularly enjoy the track but I know some of ya’ll will. One track I do enjoy is the Kardinal Offishall / Akon collabo “Dangerous” and the video PREMIERE is below as well! Enjoy!
And some news that made me happy from Kanye’s Blog…
“Oh and I was in the studio with T.I. last night…. so get ready!!!” - Kanye West
Lu Fresh Two 1 Two! So here are some old and new Lu tracks all off the mixtape Follow The Leader. I would peep em’ all cuz you can’t go wrong. They just reinforce Lupe Fiasco ’s ability to rap. That’s what these CHI cats do; they flip it and they twist it! (Props to Twista and Buk from Psychodrama for being the Chi pioneers that defined the CHICAGO style. Twista twists it with the crazy fast flow, while Buk flips it…pourin’ sizzurp on part of the fast rap to flip it from fast to slow to fast- That’s what we bout in the CHi….and oh yeah can’t forget bout Ye and the Cool Kids with their unique styles all heavily influenced by the city vibe.) Anyway fresh to death are all these tracks so get ‘em below, and awe at his mic skillz. Peace & Love!
Also props to JMRoyal for the Gowhere dedicated art work below! Haha it even says Gowhere on the right….Chyea! Reminds me of “Daydreamin” by Lupe F! Thanks!
Whoo, long day 2day (still feelin’ like Sunday - 2AM Monday technically) as I trekked back up 2 Minneapolis. Anyway, found some time before sleep 2 upload the latest NEW Trax from the past few days featuring GWHH favorites Nas, Twista, Akon, Ne-Yo, One Chance & MORE! Preview & DL below! Enjoy!
