FULL, CDQ, Track off upcoming album, Yes We Can: Voices Of A Grassroots Movement*Tibs Fav.™
Big update for ya Saturdays here, starting with 2 powerful, inspiring tracks on the album inspired by perhaps the most powerful and inspiring person in the U.S.A. today - Democratic candidate, Barack Obama! Starting it off with an original track created for the Obama album above, Malik Yusef goes spoken word and delievers nothing less than an inspiring message. Adam Levine comes through on the hook and Kanye West raps (sans autotune) with the same amount of passion as Obama has for changing our country. It is a great song with a booming beat, especially at the finale of the song. Also above is John Legend’s contribution to the album with a magnificent cover of the U2 smash-hit “Pride (In The Name Of Love)”, which certainly fits the theme of the album as well.
Down below, a bunch of very solid tracks with Mark Ronson putting a nice spin on Robin Thicke’s “Magic”, along with Wale spittin’ some clever lines as well. R&B singer Joe’s album comes out on Tuesday and another track from the CD can be had as well. Def lookin’ forward to that album. I’m also feelin’ that Murs track as it contains clear and inspiring lyrics as well - from the album, Murs For President, in stores September 30th! In the midst of the videos below, you will find the official video premiere to Ne-Yo’s “She Got Her Own (Miss Indepenent Pt. 2)” f/ Jamie Foxx & Fabolous. I’m kind of surprised he didn’t include that track on the album for Year Of The Gentleman, but my guess is they recently recorded it with not enough time for the track to make the final tracklisting. Regardless, the star power above carries the nice slow jam sequel to “Miss Independent” and the nice black & white video does the song justice. Enjoy!
Sorry for the long time between updates.. between all the work, being sick, and social events I was busy with yesterday, I was flat out exhausted to do anything until now. But it’ll all be made up next week because I also used that time to conduct a very interesting interview with a professional athlete that will be hitting GWHH sometime next week! Stay tuned!

First off, daaamn, how old is that pic? JL’s still got the fro in that one, haha! Secondly, the HQ really makes me fall in love w/ this track. JL is sooo catchy on the hook and Kanye sooo clever in his verse, all over an addicting beat that I’m speculating was a Neptunes production.. Def a great song for the fellas breakin’ up w/ their girl, as the title insinuates. Anyway, these are 2 of my absolute favs, so you kno I’ma dig this track from the 2 of the 3 heavyweights of G.O.O.D. Music (I see u Common, and everyone will see u ‘Quence!) Luckily there’s a ton of nice releases comin’ our way before October 28th when Evolver comes out, so I’ll be pleasantly distracted until then. Down below, not thaaat much to distract me from “It’s Over” OR Year Of The Gentleman (I’ma try 2 get up a review soon), but Wale spits some nice rhymes and Jennifer Hudson is, well, Jennifer Hudson, so u’d expect a nice slow jam from her. Whoo, a lot of Roots info up there - really diggin’ that cover art as well as the NEW track above! Rising Down is shaping up 2 be sick - I still can’t stop listening 2 “75 Bars”, haha. Below is some more NEW Trax and News. DMX is officially BACK with a hot NEW 1st single (street single prolly) off his upcoming double album, Walk With Me Now, Fly With Me Later! I’m really feelin’ this track and excited for the album due out in August! Ugh, that’s still so far, haha. Everything else you can see above and below! Enjoy!
In some very interesting, developing news, apparently there is new evidence that Puff and Biggie KNEW that 2Pac was getting set up in the Quad Recording Shooting in N.Y. that set off their whole feud and eventually helped lead to the deaths of 2Pac and Biggie. Below is a couple excerpts:
“In an upcoming article written by Chuck Phillips on the latest developments, the Los Angeles Times claims that Combs was notified in advance that the trap for Shakur had been laid, according to sources familiar with the incident.”
“‘I don’t believe that Biggie and Puffy set Tupac up,’ Phillips said. ‘According to these people I have interviewed and according to these documents, they knew about it,’ he said. “But they didn’t know they were going to get shot. They knew he was going to get beat up. Then it kind of went haywire when it all happened.”
The L.A. Times will have the full story on their website on Monday as well as an interactive timeline. I’ve always been intrigued by the mystery surrounding 2Pac and Biggie and I’ll def be up on this on Monday.

Here’s some of the NEW trax and vids from 2day and I’m especially lovin’ the featured track by the boys from the Go - One Chance! Another great B. Cox beat that helps enhance the voices and lyrics from One Chance. Below there is another track by R. Kelly that is just ridiculous AND he is dissin’ Ne-Yo on this track (the 2 had some beef when they were both on tour - Ne-Yo was outshining Kellz and then Ne-Yo got kicked off is what I hear.) I’ll just leave it at that and u guys can DL and see what I mean. I also put up the requested Rihanna single (StarGate produced!) that’s blowin’ up the radio rite now! Remember 2 shout out ur requests in our ChatBox in the upper right!
You can also peep the video PREMIERE of another single from Konvicted - “I Can’t Wait” f/ T-Pain, which is actually one of my top 3 favorite songs on that 2006 album. Kinda surprised a video is being released this late, but prolly trying 2 capitalize on T-Pain’s popularity right now. Another video below is from ?uestlove of The Roots. He begged 2 premiere the latest track from Gnarls Barkley and he did so in video form. A deep track that you’ll prolly like! Enjoy!
